The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

Our apartment is on the 2nd floor up a spiral staircase and through the blue glazed door. The apartment shares its main entrance with the flat across the hall (13C) and is all yours for the duration of your stay. Dumfries is a busy market town in the South West of Scotland surrounded by beautiful countryside with many castles and beaches. Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. The ground floor contains an open plan living room, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. There is a utility room accessed via a low stone doorframe. Upstairs is a mezzanine floor with king size bed, balcony and luxurious shower room

Kirkland Cottage

Kirkland Cottage is completely self-contained and is attached to our main house in an enclosed, secluded and large garden. Although only two miles from Dumfries Town Centre it is in a quiet, rural location. There is ample parking beside the cottage and a lockable room for storage of bicycles and other leisure equipment. The cottage provides a great base from which to enjoy the many cultural and outdoor activities available in the immediate locality.

The Vale of Lorton is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of the Lakes, ranging from the flat farmland and Gem town of Cockermouth at one end to the rugged mountains and Buttermere at the other. The tranquil setting of The Spinney, above the River Cocker, with spectacular views over to Whinlatter, is an ideal location to explore the north western Lakes. Set in two acres of mature trees, gardens and river frontage, with lots of wildlife.
