Absolutely gorgeous place to stay! The home was warm and welcoming, stocked with all the appliances and amenities we could need—and then some. There were plenty of cozy spots to relax and unwind. If you're after a scenic, private retreat, this is the place. Our family loved spending time on the patio, soaking in the sounds of nature. It's conveniently close to town, has great walking trails nearby, and makes for a perfect weekend escape.

Very homey. The windows make this house feel light and airy. It is clean and well-equipped with the basic things we needed. Love that they encourage recycling.. The train did not bother us. It was actually fun to watch. Walked to the park which is approximately a couple of blocks away. The state park is a short distance. Plus, it is just about a half-hour drive to the cave. Will definitely book again when in the area. Thank you Kerensa.

Our family—including me, my wife, our daughter, and our puppy—had a wonderful time. Ginger was very kind and provided detailed information, including how to use the amenities like the swimming pools. The property was clean, cozy, and conveniently located near downtown, where we had a great time exploring. We’d definitely recommend this place to any family and would love to return on our next trip to Galena.

What a perfect place for us! From the wrap around porch to the two fireplaces, this place is so dreamy! The showers were great and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We will stay again if we get the chance!

This place is a beautiful little getaway. Right up the road from the river, it is peaceful and quiet. Lots of fun architecture to see in town and the river walk is lovely. Our dogs were welcomed which made the trip 10x more enjoyable. The house is cozy, warm and feels very much like home. Sue has an entry table in the home with suggestions for local activities, eateries, shopping which was nice to refer to. Overall we were happy with the space. It was nice to know that Sue was in the house next door for questions, but she very much provided privacy unlike some places I’ve stayed. I highly recommend!

Doreen’s place was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The screened-in porch and outdoor deck offered a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Having multiple bathrooms was a major convenience, especially for our group of six. We also really enjoyed the amenities at the owner’s club, particularly the pool and fitness center. Doreen was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property nestled on a hill in the middle of nature. The location is peaceful and scenic—perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our dogs absolutely loved the wide open space to run and explore, which made the trip even more special. One of the highlights was the lovely pond on the property, full of fish and a great spot to sit by and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend this place for nature lovers and pet owners alike!

We had a really wonderful stay here over Memorial Day weekend. My two and four year old loved the toys and the movie screen (our daughter cried when we left). My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch. We’ve been to Galena now many times and this was our favorite place we’ve stayed at yet!

A friend and I stayed in this beautifully appointed apartment for 3 nights. This is a very well thought out, finely decorated space. The decor is attractive and high quality. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and there are many nice touches throughout the apartment such as robes, nice dishes and glass ware, toiletries and good security. The place is located centrally to Main Street for dining and shopping and within walking distance to most of the attractions of Galena. There are two main entrances to the hallways leading to the individual apartments. One is from Main Street and the other is from Bench St. I will say that while the Bench St entrance itself is very nice, the building is on a street that has seen better days. I hope the rest of the buildings will follow suit to improve their street appeal because the first impression made us wonder if we had the right address. We expected from the photos that this would be in a better kept area.

A great place to stay right in the middle of beautiful historic Dubuque. In walking distance of many shops and eateries. The apartment is wonderfully remodeled and very clean. Beds are very comfortable. Hope to stay again someday!

We enjoyed our weekend. We felt at home right away. It was a little tough to find at first. but we figured it out. The location is perfect to walk around. We never had to move the car once parked. We enjoyed watching movies in the comfortable recliners. We would definitely stay again!!

Our second stay was just as great as the first. Spotlessly clean, easy to get to, fast responses to questions. Highly recommend!

The place was exactly as listed. We walked everywhere, really convenient to drop off our treasures or take a little rest! We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent place

We had a great long weekend in Galena! The apartment had everything we needed and was an ideal location. Michael communicated necessary info ahead of time and we didn’t have any trouble while we were there. Definitely plan to come back!

The apartment was very cute and cozy. It’s close to everything you’d want to do while in Dubuque. Kelly was very helpful and responsive.

The filmmakers attending the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival (JDIFF) loved staying here! It was a perfect place to be!

Kathy's place was wonderful, great area of town, close to cafes walkable to everything. Only wish we could have stayed longer, we felt very much at home!

This Airbnb was AMAZING!!! So much better than staying in a hotel!! Comfortable bed! Super clean!! Felt just like home! Friendly town! Will definitely be back in the future!

This is our third time staying here, it's been great each time. It's great to have a familiar spot when we need to come to the area.
