Family-friendly vacation rentals in Dover

My family absolutely loved our stay in this house! We were here for 5 weeks while we searched for a permanent home as we had just moved to the area. Travis was flexible and kind and very responsive when I had questions. He even gave me the local social media group recommendation that ultimately led to us finding a permanent home! The neighborhood was safe and quiet and our kids loved riding bikes and taking our dog for a walk. We loved being so close to City Beach, close enough to walk! We were also walking distance to the Stuck in the 50s annual car show which was amazing and so much fun for the family! The house was comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was a great option for an evening relaxation and our kids loved it. We loved the small fireplace in the kitchen, especially in the chilly mornings drinking coffee. The home had overall comfy and homey feeling. Highly recommend!!

We had a week-end for high school inbound foreign exchange students and their chaperones. Michael allowed me to view the place before booking to be certain that it would meet the needs of the group and was very communicative before and during the week-end. Even texting me that somebody had unplugged the wi-fi by accident! The place was clean and roomy. The (separate and added cost) barn was the perfect venue for the kids to play and relax.

Great place to stay… super close to Schweitzer which was a huge plus for our family ski trip… comfy beds, well provisioned kitchens, great places for gathering as a group, clean hot tub. Really enjoyed our stay here! Recommend! The “ski in/ski out” seemed a bit treacherous - so a few of us walked it… but the rest decided to just drive to a nearby parking lot and ski from there. We did see some locals ski the path - so I know it is possible… just a bit more than we were willing to do. :)

We had a great time celebrating a milestones with friends in this house. Billie was kind enough to provide us with fresh basket of eggs, warm welcome, and local recommendations. We spent a lot of time mesmerizing the view, walking up and down the shore, bird watching (lots of eagles around!), and also appreciating all of the details in the house, including the antique collections and personal decorations. The house is just across from the lake (there's also a boat launch access). Not only the place full of friendly farm animals, but it's also quiet and serene at the same time. Our friend group had a wonderful time and we would love to come back in the future :)

It was a great weekend stay and in close proximity of the car show and auction.

Have stayed at this Airbnb SEVERAL times now - almost like an annual tradition at this point - and it’s because of location and the incredible hospitality that they show EVERY SINGLE TIME to us. We are so grateful for our northern Idaho friends and the memorable highlight they provide every year! Can’t say enough good things.

What a beautiful stay my grandson and I had. He absolutely loved playing in the creek and having a lot of places to explore. Tons of fun memories!! We had EVERYTHING we needed plus more for our entire stay.. the most comfortable bed as you listen to the birds and creek peacefully put you to sleep. We definitely found our new hotspot!! Janis was super quick to respond and gave us quick, easy directions and let us be in peace the entire time. We stayed three nights and he didn't want to leave. We will be back!

This is truly a wonderful home and we loved it! It is just as the pictures show and the decor and layout is great. We had 7 adults and 2 children and we always felt lots of space and flow as the house is very open in the beautiful kitchen and family room. The kitchen is by far the best stocked and organized I have seen. Because of Covid we cooked all our meals there and found everything so accessible. The bedrooms are large and spread out for privacy when needed. The location is an absolute dream with the lake right there and a beautiful dock with 2 sitting areas to view it. The play structure in the large backyard is terrific and our 2 grand daughters could play safely while there was lots of room for lawn games. The house is at the end of a culdesac so is very quiet and peaceful, We so loved our stay there and are hoping to come back next summer for more magic.

Our stay was at Jordan’s home was perfect for our girls getaway! I couldn’t have asked for anything better. He was very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. He went above and beyond our requests! The home was absolutely gorgeous! So many unique aspects. In my opinion it is much more spacious than the photos make it appear. We easily fit 14 ladies comfortably. Kitchen was fully stocked. We came prepared, brought dishes etc. but quickly realized we should have left all of that home. The kitchen had everything we needed! It was a quick trip this time, but we will definitely be back so we can enjoy the home and beach a little more! Thank you Jordan for a great experience!

We had great stay at Dan’s place. It was cozy and comfortable and we took full advantage of being a short walk to good food and drink options as well as the lake! Dan was quick to respond to questions and made us feel welcome.

Derek is the best. We were moving to the area and needed somewhere to stay for awhile. He was beyond helpful! The treehouse was perfect and we already miss it. Thank you!

We were there for our daughter's wedding reception and the place was perfect! We had our pup Bentley and no stairs for his bad hips. comfortable bed and peaceful surroundings with pretty lake view. We will look forward to going back! Thank you Linda for a wonderful stay♥️

This was a great little hidden gem. Very walkable to everything in Sandpoint! The place itself has enough room for two adults and our dog. The yard, fire pit, and outside tables were great for the sunny weather we had. We would stay here again for sure.

We loved the privacy. Great old place. Lucky to see the wild turkeys with babies walking the property. Wonderful view of mountains and lake.

Lindsey was not only highly responsive, as I booked day of stay, but also very informative about the area. I asked a couple questions and received detailed responses. I loved feeling like a local with all the insider tips. The home is lovely and conveniently located to downtown. It was clean and stocked with the basics/essentials. I would absolutely stay here again while visiting the area.

Highly recommend for single traveler or possible couple. Studio style. This place was a super peaceful getaway. Great location. Clean amenities. About 10 minutes from main town. About 30 minutes from ski resort parking. Responsive and helpful host. Hot tub, pool, and gym opened late morning (I believe 10:00am) and closed at 7:00pm. Would be nice if the hours were wider, but other than that, everything was great. Thank you.

My husband and I loved our stay at Lynda's place! She was friendly, accommodating and the best communicator. Everything was as described. With all that's offered in her safe private community, you feel like you're in a resort. Community Pool and Hot Tub, access to the beautiful Lake and lots of paved areas for a long walk. The town of Sandpoint is so relaxing and peaceful with lots to explore there, as well as surrounding areas. Wonderful visit!

I can't say enough about our unforgettable stay at this private riverfront property. From the moment we arrived, we were absolutely blown away by the experience. The location is nothing short of magical. Nestled alongside the tranquil river, this property offers a sense of seclusion and serenity that's hard to find anywhere else. The views are breathtaking, with the river meandering gracefully through the landscape, and the surrounding nature adding to the overall charm. It's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable. Every corner of the house and the surrounding area was spotless. You could tell that the hosts take great pride in maintaining this gem of a place. We felt instantly comfortable and at ease.

Our stay at Mariane"s condo was great. Very nice neighboor on the golf course. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was well stocked . Mariane was easy to reach and responded quickly Will definately stay here again.

This management company is amazing. I have stayed with them before. They are always available for anything you would ever need. This condo is beautiful however the owner must have pets because the master bedroom Capet is very stained due to their pet which I did not expect. So if you are traveling with pets this is a great option however I was not and was shocked by all the stains in the carpets in the master. Other then that the condo was fabulous

Great place right on the lake and a block away from an awesome restaurant!! Cozy is the word for this cabin.

This is our second stay; one over New Years and one in late June…both were great times of the year to vacation here. We come with large family groups and having the flexibility to retreat to our own facility at the end of every day or midday for naps was ideal! Thank you for having us, we will be back again!
