House vacation rentals in Douglas County

It was absolutely lovely. I am so happy with my stay. A couple of cautions- the walk to the private entrance may be difficult for mobility impaired individuals and the wifi was spotty. Honestly nothing worth lowering the review tho! The pool was perfect, the sauna was lovely, and we made ourselves right at home ☺️

Scott house was amazing we loved it and it was as he described in Airbnb, he was soo nice and last night I asked if he had a hairdryer which he did not and within minutes we got a hairdryer to use .. he was very easy to communicate with and I will definitely rent this place again when we have soccer in overland as it was close to garmin soccer and scheel soccer.. thank you Scott

We loved this house! It was the perfect weekend getaway for our crew. We really enjoyed the hot tub and pool. It provided ample space and had all the details you could want, plus more. We hope to be back!

Great value. Clean and comfortable. I was surprised that there was minimal air traffic noise being so close to the airport. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We loved our stay! It was a great place for a girls weekend and the backyard was the perfect little oasis.

This was our second time renting this home. It’s a true gem - fully updated, clean and spacious. Perfect for gathering with the other moms who traveled into town to celebrate our KU students for mom’s weekend. The hosts are great communicators and flexible to our needs.

We had an amazing stay at Renee’s house. A beautiful, spotless historic home with everything we needed and lots of space for our family. The location is ideal to walk to restaurants. Easy parking. Hope to come back!

Great place super close to campus.

The house was perfect for our gathering. Everyone enjoyed their own comfy bed. The kitchen had everything we needed for our meal prep and the living spaces were comfortable and accommodated our every need. This is a beautiful historic home that held the 7 of us comfortably. We had a wonderful weekend and this house was a contributing factor.

Pennys place was great! Very comfortable, quiet area, and she made sure our stay was perfect. 10/10 would stay again.

James' place exceeded my expectations. He has gone above and beyond to create an exceptionally welcoming experience for his guests. From the welcome cookies from a local bakery, to the extensive board game and book collection, to the availability of drinks and snacks, to the above and beyond amenities like ear plugs and fidget spinners in every room and extra tooth brushes and razors in case you forgot something, this stay was one of the best of my Airbnb experiences. Highly recommend!!

Casey was responsive and ensured we were prepared upon arrival and clear expectation for check out. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed.

We stayed as an extended family for a funeral. It happened to be a busy weekend in Lawrence and wound up being the perfect place.

Jaden and Keara have a wonderful little spot! I guess it’s not little as it does sit on an acre allowing for plenty of elbow room. We loved the open layout of the home and the decor choices making it easy to unwind. If the weather would have been cooperative, we might’ve had a chance to enjoy the swing and firepit out back as well. Maybe next time. We weren’t traveling with dogs, but for those who do the fenced in yard makes this place a perfect fit! We had no issues/questions to communicate, but judging from their check in/out notice and an FYI notification that they sent, their response is super expedient. GREAT HOSTS & A GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!

We will stay here again! Casey’s place was clean with abundant towels, linens and extra blankets and pillows. The beds were very comfortable. He had fans in the closets which were nice for white noise at night. This is in a prime location in Lawrence near everything. if you are coming with young children, be aware there are stairs. We failed to see this in the listing photos (our mistake), that there were stairs in the kitchen with one set going down right next to another going up. We brought our young children, one of whom is crawling. We purchased an extra long baby gate from Walmart which solved this and were able to fit it in our car to take home. Just something to be aware of and we still rate this with five stars. Casey is a very responsive and welcoming host.

Beautiful newly remodeled house in great location. Walk to Mass st for great restaurants and shopping. Perfect location for game day Kansas football Beautiful kitchen and bathroom. Anna was a great host. Went above and beyond. Perfect house and we look forward to staying there again.

We were lucky enough to host our micro wedding ceremony and reception at Mary and Evan’s beautiful property!! They were exceptional to work with and very dedicated to making our day picture-perfect!

I stayed with a group of friends and the house was very cute and comfortable. It's not too far of a walk from Mass St with lots of restaurant options. I would definitely stay here again!

This place was exactly what we needed, close to friends and family, easy to get where we wanted to go. My husband and I both work remotely and we were easily able to do so. Great find
