Beautiful location with a stunning view and gorgeous heated pool. The property had all the mod cons including dimmed lighting, air con and cooking facilities. The BBQ was particularly good. The fire pit is a nice to sit for sunrise or sunset. Katerina was very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. Would highly recommend!

Iosef is a wonderful host. He made us feel welcome right from the very start. His traditional Cretan home, that he has lovingly restored is truly magical. The views overlooking Sitia are absolutely breathtaking. You are surrounded by wild flowers, olive groves and not forgetting overlooking the turquoise waters of the Agean sea. Anyone who wants to Immerse themselves in nature, Cretan culture, flower scented clean air and perfect stillness. Then Iosef's beautiful home is for you. Iosef thank you so much for your kind hospitality, we enjoyed every single moment, especially the local honey!! We will definitely be back!!

Palekastro is a small village in the north-east of the island of Crete. For those seeking peace and rural locations, that is the right place. The cottage is very functional, with a full kitchen, a washing machine, and very fast WiFi. In the surroundings you can go on many excursions and in the village simple taverns prepare local food with passion and quality, not far away there are also two very beautiful and quality restaurants by the sea. For sea lovers, there are several pristine beaches and even a windsurfing center. There are also grocery stores and an excellent pastry shop, while for more important purchases, a 15-minute drive away, there is SITIA, which has several SUPERMARKETS, and on Tuesdays, there is also an interesting market where local people often go shopping. It was a really special vacation for me!

We had a fabulous time at the Villa of the Hill! The host Georgios did his best to make us feel at home, he even brought us a delicious Cretan lunch cooked by his mum. Probably the most hospitable host we ever met. The villa is very clean and modern, but still cozy. We loved the outdoor kitchen, the pool and the location as the villa is surrounded by beautiful nature and olive trees. All in all an absolute dream - would definitely recommend!
