The Elbe, biosphere reserve, water crossing point and others offer many recreational opportunities in nature.

Long walks or a small bike trip, we have a lot of nature to offer and are happy to give excursion tips. The apartment (58 sqm) overlooking the countryside is located on the 2nd floor of a small three-family house (8 steep steps), 2 minutes' walk from the train station. Gottesgnaden lockmaster farmstead

The house is located on the Saale island of Gottesgnaden. Here the lock keeper lived and worked with his family. Today you can relax here on the 7x4 m terrace, make yourself comfortable in the great kitchen with fireplace, enjoy the river landscape, fishing, standup paddling or chill in the approx. 1000 sqm garden. The house is a single monument and belongs to the lock. The lock is in operation and is maintained and serviced by the Water and Shipping Authority.
