Vacation rentals with a sauna in Detroit River

We needed three bedrooms for our stay, and Ian offered two separate units: the Zen Suite (one bedroom) located above the Cook Suite (two bedrooms). Each suite has its own separate entrance, which was OK with us. Both suites were clean and comfortable, and I particularly liked the interior design. The Zen Suite also had a hot tub on the large patio, which was a highlight of our stay. Check-in was easy. There's a nice grocery store just across the street and several restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay!

Ian and Paul were both amazing host. for the apartment, it's very nice and cozy, especially the bathroom toilet, owww I freaking loved it. The location is quite and the area is close to Ferndale local restaurants. How nice are the host? : By the day I lost my luggage and I thought I lost it when I was there. Ian and Paul were very nice people that they helped me change security door camera footage. Even tho we didnt find it, the effort they put for me meant a lot to me. A week later, a local restaurant found my contact through airline and contacted me said they had my luggage. It was my fault for not remembering it. But I just wanna say a big thank you for these amazing host. total 5 stars 🌟

Really nice spot. Walking down to the Eastern Market on Saturday morning and being able to make breakfast right in the kitchen was amazing. Really great views of the whole city and a beautiful apartment with access to a huge terrace.

Ian was an amazing proactive host, there was literally nothing I had to text him about because his automated messages were very informative. There were no exaggerations about the place he listed or the amenities. I would like to stay with him again in the future.

Valentino was an excellent host and quickly addressed my questions. The unit was clean and I had everything I needed. The location is great, peaceful, quiet and private. This is a great place to work from if needed with a full office, washer/dryer, equipped kitchen etc. The unit had plenty of extra towels, blankets and pillows. It is close to Walled Lake and downtown restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend staying here and will stay here again without a doubt when I am in the area.

This was a perfect home for our family young and old. The place was neat, very clean and comfortable. Very well stocked for all our cooking needs. There were a lot of extra touches that helped make us feel at home!

From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how clean, well-designed, and thoughtfully stocked everything was. The quality of the furnishings, the little touches like board games, and the attention to detail truly made it feel like a luxury stay—honestly, one of the nicest Airbnbs I’ve ever been to. Both the upstairs and downstairs spaces were equally comfortable and well-appointed, and the location was absolutely beautiful. You can tell that a lot of care and intention went into creating this space. Highly recommend, and would absolutely stay again!

The Barn Own Inn was very cozy and welcoming. From the minute we walked in the door, we felt comfortable. It was exactly as described and pictured. It had everything you would need, plus more! They provided cinnamon rolls (that were awesome), a bottle of wine and even chocolates on your bed! It was very clean with plenty of towels. The bed was comfy. Dan and Kristine were very proactive in conversing with us and responded quickly. The directions made it easy to find the home. It is on a dead-end street, so very quiet. There was a lockbox for easy entry. We will certainly be back.

We emjoyed our stay very much. The house was very clean. It is an older house, so the floors were uneven so we needed to watch our steps carefully. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathroms were too. Th view of Lake Erie was very nice - from inside the house or sitting on the deck. The lake was beautiful in the morning and in the evening there was a beautiful sunset. It was a great place for 4 siblings and our spouses to be together. Thank you.

You will love that it has a driveway, that you can pull in and leave without backing up. The home is bright and cheery. When you walk in, you see that it is just like the listing and better. The decor is soothing to the eyes throughout the home. I felt secure the very first night being there. We enjoyed their private patio with a firepit. It is definitely an all season home to enjoy all year. For young kids it has a bright, clean & spacious basement with pool table that converts to a ping pong table, air hockey table and an electric basket ball hoop arcade game for several to play. My stay here was for 4 weeks and I did not want to leave. I have put this Airbnb in my phone as a place that I want to comeback to again! I absolutely loved my stay here! The house has a fantastic layout, and the projector was an unexpected but delightful bonus. The backyard was truly the highlight for me—spacious, beautifully maintained, and perfect for relaxing. I would definitely recommend staying here!
