Refined Rustic San Diego is my best description of Stephan's family home. The imperfections are all part of the home's appeal, inside out. Stephan is a meticulous host in a very good way for a guest like me. Unobtrusive yet friendly and has quite an intereting family story. Read all the description because it is accurate. Buy your mini groceries in the town of Jamul before driving into the winding canyons. Once there, it is pure calm and quiet. Best two night's sleep I had in San Diego!

This was far more beautiful, peaceful, private and serene than I had imagined. I needed a quiet, peaceful space to do some remote work and this far surpassed all of my expectations. The home itself is beautiful, spacious and clean, and the outdoor surroundings are unbelievable. The hosts were extremely friendly, accommodating and generous. The best airbnb I have ever stayed in- I hope to come back soon.

The place was comfortable enough as we only used it to sleep in. The bed could use more pillows as there was one pillow and then a decorative pillow. The futon is not comfortable to sit on, so we ended up hanging out on the bed mostly. Easy access to the freeway and around stores and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet at night and led to an easy sleep. The motion detection light is directly outside the bedroom windows and the curtains block out enough of that light. The shower gets very hot, but the lack of sink in the bathroom and having to use the kitchen sink was weird. It has a nice full length mirror that has hangers attached. Nice experience for the price and we were only requested to throw out our trash and turn off lights, so leaving instructions were easy to follow and reasonable. Worth the price.
