My family and I had an incredibly comfortable stay at The Red House for our son’s graduation at UIUC. The house is in good proximity to campus, which was very practical, but we were also absolutely charmed by the tastefully decorated interiors and comfortable beds and furniture. You can tell that the home was designed to offer a special experience for its guests, so we couldn’t be more grateful to have chosen it for our special occasion! The wooden staircase is absolutely special and we couldn’t help but take some pictures as we were getting ready for the graduation ceremony, which came out superb and will leave us with lovely memories for the years to come. Couldn’t recommend The Red House and the host more! Thank you, Rhonda and Todd!

Perfect for our visit with family! We were less than a mile from family members and anything we needed was easy to find. Kristin was great about linens and household items!

Anthony's house was just as described on the listing. We had more than enough room for our family to relax and hang out. We loved the bright and cheery sunroom and the large dining area for gathering. The dual zone heating and air conditioning really helped with keeping the house comfortable. We had plenty of linens for everyone. And we were pleasantly surprised by a nice bottle of wine upon our arrival. I would recommend this house for any family or large group looking to be close to the university or downtown Decatur.

A few employees and I stood here instead of getting a hotel. Pricing was comparable but having a beautiful home with a lake was not. We didn't even use all the amenities, but to know they were available was nice. If I'm back working in the area, I definitely would come back.

We were in the area for soccer and had our dogs with us, so didn't want to get a hotel room. Sean's place was right on the lake and had plenty of space for 3 adults, 1 teenager, an elementary aged kiddo, and 2 dogs. Beds were comfy and several areas to sit and enjoy each others company, both inside and out. Highly recommend working with Sean and taking advantage of this serene location.

Hopefully, when we come back to the area this place is available again. Just what we needed! 🙂

Another great stay at Kent’s home. Backyard is wonderful and our group of 12 was very comfortable. Gracious host and great communication.

Thank you Matt and Morgan for your hospitality. The place was perfect for our large group with loads of room and a beautiful deck and big backyard. the neighbourhood was lovely for walking and parks nearby. Definitely would book again.

The house is an older place that has been brought up to date in a great way. Lots of the older features are still there and really add to the charm. Very spacious and comfortable. We all liked the place very much. I was pleased with how quiet it was for sleeping. The children (4 & 2 year olds) enjoyed the spacious back yard, the front porch and living room. We're hoping to stay there next year!

It was very clean, had the room we needed for all the family & was very accommodating for our pet dog! She thought of everything; even had a dog dish waiting for Mabel! The kitchen was perfect for the prep & making breakfast casseroles for the wedding. Thank you so much for being an amazingly host! We would definitely use you again if the occasion arises.

We have stayed with Karen before, and we had a great experience, so we stayed again while in town. The house is nice and neat. Karen is very responsive to any concerns.

We were in town for a wedding and needed a quiet place to stay. The listing was perfect and exactly as depicted. There are many stores within walking and driving distance. The check in process was easy and the space was spotless. It was a great stay.

Loved the stay at Illinois Bungalow -The property was located in a safe neighborhood close to campus and was tastefully decorated to capture the Illini spirit. The house was very clean and things were neatly organized. The kitchen was well stocked with required pots & pans and dishes. The artwork and other items in the house made us feel cozy. Rachel is a very caring and thoughtful host and was very prompt in her communications. She provided clear instructions to check-in and check-out. Will definitely consider staying here again if we happen to be in the area.

This is a delightful home, with a comfortable layout and well-appointed kitchen. It's a fantastic renovation that preserves much of the original feel with nice updates for modern tastes, like lights in the cupboards. Highly recommended.

What a perfect little spot. We travels for a wedding in the morning & reception 6 hours later. We loved the country living & just enjoyed a peaceful weekend! Thank you so much!! We couldn’t be happier with our stay at Tatiana’s house! We got there in a rain storm, easily got right in, and were transported into a beautiful, inviting and spacious home. Undoubtedly the kitchen was the gathering place for the entire weekend. All the beds were comfortable and everyone slept well, which is always a tell tale sign for a great stay away from home.

This place is beautiful. I was trying to figure out how to move it to my property in Indiana . Worked great for our family .

Renee was a great host with quick response time and provided added resources for what shelbyville had to offer. The house exceeded our expectations and we appreciated all the amenities that the house had to offer- will be recommending to other organizations to use for retreats!

We went with 2 grandsons for 3 nights and never once got bored! The guide they provide contains everything you could possibly need about the house and the surrounding areas. Communications was instantaneous. We highly recommend this for anyone wants a peaceful getaway.

We loved our stay. Everything felt very new and intentionally designed. From the games to the speaker for our music, we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. We were able to watch a few woodland creatures from the comfort of the cabin, and it was terrific. Nichole was responsive when I had questions, and the guidebook is next level.

We can’t say enough wonderful things about my stay here! From the start, the host went above and beyond to make my experience as smooth and welcoming as possible. We were able to check in early, which was such a relief after a long drive, and it set the tone for the rest of my visit. What truly made this stay incredible was the genuine care shown during a difficult time in my life. The host checked in to make sure we were comfortable and went out of their way to offer support and kindness. It meant so much to be treated with such empathy. The place itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and filled with thoughtful amenities. we especially loved all the personal touches for my dog—food bowls, a crate and other dog touches waiting for our boy. It’s rare to find a host who welcomes pets so warmly. We absolutely loved the place and would recommend it to anyone. If you’re looking for a host who truly cares and a space that feels like a home away from home this is it.
