Vacation rentals with lake access in Decatur County

We had a great time staying at Carol's place. The communication was great and the house was in the perfect location. We would stay here again.

This is the perfect place to stay if you’re in the area. Only seven minutes to big Jim’s. The pond house restaurant is right down the road and they have the best steak you will ever eat. We had no problem, parking two trucks and two boats (with) outside power to plug up battery chargers. I would recommend this home to anyone. Will definitely be going back.

The stay was amazing! She was very responsive and communicated well. The instructions were clear and posted in multiple places so I did not have a question or worry about anything. She was very nice and professional. The home was beautiful and cozy. Plenty of space. My kids loved to watch the little goats in the backyard. All around 10 out of 10!

James was a great host. We were on the run from Hurricane Milton and James even offered us to stay as long as we needed for free! We did not need the extra time but what a wonderful offer. A true Southern Gentleman.

I'm a native of Tallahassee and I normally stay with family, but Jack's home and location made me feel right at home. The nostalgia of being on Lake Ella took me back to all the great memories of my high school and college days. The home was beautiful, serene, and convenient. I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in a beautiful city. Thanks Jack! Robert

This is a charming old apartment in a complex that was turned into condos some years ago. The exterior of the complex is misleadingly dingy--concrete block with water stains from a few window units. It's bohemian, with hardwood floors, two balconies, old furniture, and a lot of character. The building does not front the street, so there is a green courtyard between it and the buildings in front of it that has walkways, huge live oaks, and a bench. You can hear birdsong most of the time from inside. A lake is within walking distance, as is an organic grocery. Landlord was out of state and relied on the previous rental tenant to clean the apartment, so it was not pristine. The landlord now has a housekeeper to clean it after every stay. Some necessities were missing--dish towels, a toilet scrubber, a bath rug--but the landlord was EXTREMELY responsive and everything was supplied. He even had safety hooks put on the screen doors! You will love it if you are artsy and want peace.

Great little spot for a quick stay! Our lodging accommodations had changed last minute so we were very pleased when we stumbled upon Jack’s Airbnb. It’s quaint and quiet- the location is definitely what makes it great. We enjoyed walking around the lake and sitting out on the patio. For the price this was a good find.

Absolutely a great stay. We had everything we needed. The house was well stocked for a weekend stay. We loved the screened in patio even tho it was very hot out, there was always a nice breeze and no nats. The lake and the neighborhood were nice extras.

Spent a week here for a fishing trip. Steve greeted me with some fishing info while Sandra made sure everything was exactly what I needed. They gave full access to their boat doc and lift. Privacy is no issue here while you feel you can call for help or info at anytime. This is the place to be if you want easy access fishing. Or even just a calm relaxing time by the water. Step outside at night and listen to all the critters sing! These two have a great thing going.

It is a comfortable place with lovely furnishings/decor. Very peaceful and a great view of the lake.

Wonderful little quiet lake house. Fully stocked with everything you could need. I was able to cook pretty much anything with the available kitchen supplies. Clean and cozy. Beds were comfortable. Only thing we missed was a washer and dryer and there is no WiFi (blessing in disguise, honestly.) Only basic cable. Fishing was great. Caught different types of fish right from the dock. The lake is prime fishing if you have a boat.

This was my second stay at Sonya’s and it was wonderful!

Lori was a great host and communication was awesome ! Place was stocked well and very quiet and peaceful! Great get away spot for a couple!
