Very nice view from balcony. Location is bit away from the main center but good place to hangout with friends. Very friendly and really a super host.

It's tucked away in the beautiful and untouched Himalayan village of Lopchu. Keshav and his family were incredibly warm — their hospitality was truly something else. I stayed here with my older parents, and we were made to feel completely at home, like part of the family. Getting there can be a bit tricky, but with Keshav around to guide you, it’s totally manageable. I’d love to come back and stay longer next time. P.S. You can take a peaceful walk around the tea garden nearby. They also served us lovely homely food for dinner at a very reasonable price.

We enjoyed our stay with our pets at the beautiful homestay. The house is very well maintained and overlooks a valley and a hill. The house has a beautiful garden also. The ambience of the place is very peaceful. Sujata, the owner, cooked tasty meals for us and our pet dogs. Overall a very enjoyable and comforting experience.

The place was amazing and the common spaces that are shared also have a lot of facilities. It was a peaceful time we got to share at the space. The host was proactive and practiced unreasonable hospitality! It was fantastic, no complaints.

The property is located in the mid of a tea garden. Beautiful place. Perfect for spending some time in the midst of lush green scenic beauty. On top of it Rebika is an awesome host. She took care of us very well. Approaching road is not perfect. But it's worth the trouble once you reach the place.

As a solo traveler I wanted to experience Darjeeling like a local, and I must say I got really lucky to find Sahil’s place. He is a really great host and gem of a person. And his place has some of best views you will get to experience in Darjeeling. I spent hours working from his cafeteria and for my fellow Digital Nomads, the WiFi worked great to even have good quality video calls! I couldn’t ask for more, tbh! This guy always made sure that I was enjoying my time during my stay at his place. Since I wanted to experience Darjeeling like a local he also took me around to such raw untouched places that as a tourist I’d have never found in Darjeeling. All in all I’d say his place is a safe haven and it gave me so many things in return that I’d definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Sangeeta’s charming homestay, The Attik!! I traveled with my wife and two sons, and the space was perfect for our family. The bedrooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, making us feel right at home. Uday and Sangeeta were extremely warm and gracious hosts—very welcoming and always available if we needed anything. Uday uncle offered us great local recommendations and made sure our stay was comfortable from start to finish. While, Sangeeta auntie made our stay memorable with extremely delicious breakfast during our stay! It felt like home during the interesting and warm conversations with uncle and we were touched with the humble and grounded gesture of uncle and auntie! Overall, the neighborhood was peaceful and safe, ideal for families. We truly appreciated the thoughtful aesthetic touches and personalized hospitality that made our trip special. The moment me and my son stepped into this homestay, we felt at home, and Anjalina, Rubina and their parents left no stone unturned to ensure that the feeling lasts. We left with a heart full of joyous memories of wonderful conversation we had together and a vibrant body, thanks to the delicious home cooked meals endowed with rare nepali delicacies. The entire family posses a great deal of knowledge on any and every topic from visa interviews and traditional cuisines to life abroad and tourism. We were not treated as mere guests but very parts of their extended family. The location is perfect with all the hotspots in walking distances. If you are planning to experience the serene atmosphere of Mirik or looking for an accomodation in its proximity, don't even think twice before booking their homestay which truly lives upto it's name "haamro ghar"

The unit was very clean and well maintained with a modern-feel . Mr. Sangay was very helpful throughout our stay. He was prompt in offering any assistance required. The location provides a beautiful balcony view and is easily accessible by both local and private transport. Would be happy to return here next time!

This was a wonderful relaxation retreat, The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There are many "suites" to choose from in this property. The restaurant was lovely, The pool was nice but too cold to use in December.

I recently stayed at Newa house and had a wonderful experience. Dhana Di was incredibly welcoming and ensured I felt right at home before we arrived at her place. The location of the homestay was perfect for me. It was in a quiet. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. I loved the attention to detail, from the fresh flowers on the spacious balcony - where we friends could have an excellent time together to cleanliness in the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, ensuring we had a great night’s sleep. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional cooperation and help from the host. We are grateful to the host for serving us hot, delicious, tasty food. The warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and delicious food made for an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a home away from home.

Calm and peaceful stay

I stayed here with my family. Kalden, his wife and the caretaker- Juna Aunty was very helpful throughout our stay. The place looks exactly like pictures and is squealy clean with all the amenities in place. The patio has great view of the city Gangtok. Just go for this place. Highly recommend!!!

Great place! The homestay is erally great. Everythings works nice and the house is like you see in the pictures. My favorite part was the balcony that had an amazing view. Devdarshan and his family were really nice and were always checking in if things were okay. The kitchen is simple and could be more equipped, but I was able to cook nice things and, as I said It, it matches the photos and the description. It's a simple and nice place, close to the main road. If you looking for a nice, simple and calm place to stay in Gangtok, Bartola homestay is your place.

This place was new in listing but we either ways went ahead and booked it. We wanted a place with basic amenities to stay away from new year crowd. Starting from the time we booked this place till the time we left, Mr. and Mrs. Gyamtso were always there to help. A perfect host indeed. Though we did not meet them personally but they were very responsive over chats and calls. Their care taker Sanjeev Bhaiya was always a call away if we needed anything. The view from the balcony makes it all worth it. The taxi stand is just below the apartment and you can get a shared cab to MG road in 30 rupees only and it’s a 15 mins drive. It’s a Very clean and organised place. The property is on 5th floor but easy to climb with slow pace. If you have luggage, Sanjeev bhaiya will help you get that to and fro across the floor. A must stay when in Gangtok.

Had a wonderful stay here! Check-in was seamless, and the place was super easy to locate. It's in a very accessible spot, just a short walk from MG Road — one of the main attractions in Gangtok with a vibrant local market. The views from the windows and balcony were absolutely stunning. The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed — a working geyser, TV, clean kitchen with water filters and utensils — all in great condition and the home was really spacious. There was paid parking available as well, which was a plus. Overall, it’s a great stay for anyone looking to explore MG Road and nearby areas. Highly recommend!

The Description does justice to the actual place, however expected the place to be a bit more spacious it was a snug fit for 7 people. pros Clean place responsive host good location as food is easily accessible cons the neighbours were a bit noisy WiFi has relatively low speed (4mbps) the property is located in a small street so big cars plan accordingly overall good value for money and a very good host would recommend and stay again

I stayed at this homestay for three nights, and it was a delightful experience. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking, and the hospitality of the people here is heartwarming. The food is a standout feature—organic and delicious. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The common bathroom can be a bit inconvenient, and the charger jack is located quite low on the wall. It would be much more convenient if it were placed beside the bed for easier access. Additionally, there are extra charges for using the kitchen, which I believe should be clearly mentioned in the instructions provided to guests. Despite these small issues, everything else was great. I would highly recommend this homestay for its beautiful views, warm hospitality, and excellent food.

It was a great stay. Even though it was weekend and staff left early, Mr. Deepak was always responsive over phone calls. The fireplace was amazing, we clicked amazing pictures. Had an attractive garden with a very beautiful reading place. We stayed for 2 nights. On the checkin day we arrived very late, almost all restaurants were closed by then but Mr. Deepak arranged very homely food for us all. Overall, it was a great experience. We were headign to Pelling after Darjeeling, Mr. Deepak even gave a number for a stay at pelling which was amazing.
