Beverly is so sweet! She gave us so many recommendations and always answered quickly. Not only that but she makes you feel like you are talking to a friend. Her house is beautiful whether you want a quick walk to the beach or to sit on the dock, listen to the sound and watch the sunset or see the stars. There’s a sidewalk right off the driveway that is well paved and makes for amazing walks. Overall her and her house made our trip amazing!!

Brian’s place was absolutely fantastic! The walk to the beach was quick and easy, and there were plenty of little shops and fun things to do just a short stroll away. While you do have to cross a highway, it’s nothing to worry about as it has a safe, convenient walkway that made it no problem at all, even with our kids. We stayed with four children ranging from 1 to 11 years old and had zero issues. In fact, the kids kept asking if we really had to leave and begged to stay longer which is always a good sign! The house itself was cozy and comfortable, and the deck was a great spot to relax. The huge backyard was a total hit with the kids. It’s private and gave us peace of mind to let them play with toys outside while we grilled or hung out inside. Brian was incredibly responsive and kind, and he even shared some great local, kid-friendly recommendations, which meant a lot since it was our first time visiting the OBX. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful and homie place to stay, I definitely recommend this house. Robyn was very attentive, clear with communication and helpful with everything. The house is also full amenities from the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms to even the grill outside. This place was a 5 out of 5 for me and our friends who visited!

Michael was an excellent host. The place was exactly as described. It has a beautiful fenced yard where our dogs were able to run when we were home. Very short walk to a clean, gorgeous beach. The house is comfortable and has all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The restaurant across the street had great food and cocktails, and we were only a short drive to anything in Duck or Corolla. I also cannot thank Michael enough for his communicativeness and understanding when we made a scheduling snafu. Truly an MVP. We would love to stay here again in the future and highly recommend Lowood Cottage.

Just finished a 3 night stay at the historic hideaway we all enjoyed our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our trip and will definitely be returning

My boyfriend and I had a great time here! Very peaceful and quiet and an easy drive to restaurants and the beach. Super close to Jockey Ridge State Park. The bed was very comfortable and the space was great for two.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is organized and so clean. I love the little things that the host have for the guests like sound machines and boardgames which is very thoughtful. They also very responsive and friendly whenever we reach out to them.

This was such the perfect place for a weekend getaway! Super close to the beach and the sound and the bikes were a great additional!

We had such a great visit staying with Kristy! It was like staying with a family friend- she was so flexible with our late check-in, she was welcoming and accommodating. She had great recommendations for places to check out and even offered us beach extras like umbrellas, blankets, surfboards, and more. She made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived! The place is exactly as described. Even though it’s attached to her home, the apartment is completely separate with its own entrance. You get a full size fridge, basic kitchen amenities, a comfy bed and even an extra trundle bed which is new! It was less than a 3 min drive to the beach which was so convenient, and surrounded by fun shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. We would definitely return!

This stay was wonderful. The place was very comfortable, clean, and exactly as described. It’s located in a quiet, peaceful area that’s not busy at all—perfect for a relaxing getaway. We loved how private it felt, with no noise or crowds nearby. The best part was the million dollar, unobstructed view of the ocean—absolutely breathtaking and worth every penny. Nancy was very responsive, making check-in and communication seamless. We would definitely stay here again!
