Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Daratsos

Thank you to Matthew and the team for such a lovely stay. Matthew went above and beyond for the duration of our visit, even giving us a lift to the local winery. The villa was exactly as pictured and beautifully maintained. The host welcomed us with pastries and local delicacies, which were even topped up during our stay when the villa was serviced. Whilst in a peaceful and quaint location, a car is necessary to explore the island and all it has to offer. Public transport does exist but is infrequent and not always easy to understand. Definitely worth a trip to the traditional bakery located a few minutes walk from the villa. Although we had a fantastic time in the hot tub and pool, the hot tub could definitely have been hotter. Overall all I would recommend this to everyone, and we will certainly be returning to Doro Gold Villa! Thanks again! Emma and friends

Séjour très agréable chez Irène. Maison très bien située au milieu des oliviers et à proximité de beaucoup d endroits. Irène est une personne très accueillante, gentille, attentionnée.....nous avons eu droit à des petites spécialités en arrivant et en rentrant le soir.... je recommande grandement . Merci Irène

A great ,spacious, quirky botique 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of the old city of Chania. Very clean with all the amenities, large comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The good wifi and a washing machine were crucial for us. Best of all is the location which is on a lovely, narrow pedestrian cobblestone street in the old town. Restaurants galore and a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous harbor area. Of the 3 Crete cities ,Chania Rithymno, and Herakliona, Chania was the most beautiful and well kept. The best of the 3 to use as a base(We did day trips to the other two towns.) Gannis was abroad, but his friend Christina was so nice, and helpful .She met us where we parked the car and led us through the old town to the apartment.

פאני היא אישה מקסימה והבית היה נוח ומפנק רגע מים נפלא. היו משחקים מוכנים לילדים וכל דבר שצריך לבישול. היי נו שתי משפחות ארבעה מבוגרים שלושה ילדים ושתי תינוקות והיה לנו הכי נוח. פאני דאגה להכל והעיירה הייתה נוחה עם מסעדות טובות וחנות יין קטנה עם הענבים מקומיים. מאוד מאוד ממליצה 🩷

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce logement ! L’appartement est spacieux, décoré avec goût et très bien entretenu. Tout était parfaitement propre à notre arrivée. La literie est confortable, la cuisine est entièrement équipée (vaisselle, cafetière, four, etc.), et il y a même des petites attentions comme du café et quelques produits de base, ce qui est très appréciable. Le quartier est calme et agréable, tout en étant proche des commerces, des restaurants et des plages. L’hôte a été exceptionnel : très réactif, disponible pour répondre à nos questions, et chaleureux dans sa communication. On sent qu’il tient vraiment à ce que ses voyageurs passent un bon moment. Nous recommandons ce logement sans hésiter et reviendrons avec plaisir si l’occasion se présente !

Simply stunning apartment, glorious views and easy access to the little village of Kalyves. We spent most days by the pool and evenings eating at the many restaurants by the beach. The apartment is beautiful and well equipped, the views from the living room are stunning. Eleni is an attentive and very responsive host who looked after us extremely well. We will be back very soon!

A gorgeous boho chic, well designed apartment. The host and her husband were so very welcoming and gave great advice, some of the restaurants she recommended were really good and we visited a few gorgeous beaches on their recommendation too. Everything you need in a holiday home! We had a car to explore but you could walk to lots of good local restaurants or hop on the bus. The hosts own restaurants was very good too. The outside areas and pool was really nice. We never had a bad meal and would definitely return to beautiful Crete and her very chic comfortable apartment ☺️☀️

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. A lovely villa - looked exactly like the photos. We were a family of 8 adults and 2 small children and there was room for all of us. Kitchen was big enough with every utensil (and more) you could think of. Our host was there to greet us and was always responsive when needed ( 2 small issues both quickly resolved). A lovely welcome basket of food/drink etc was a nice touch. I would not say a car is essential - its less than 10 mins walk to several lovely restaurants and a nice little beach. However the nearest proper supermarket is 30-40 mins walk although its only a 10 euro taxi back and youll save more than that as the local shop (2 mins down the hill) is only really any good for fresh bread and emergency supplies! The outside/pool area in villa was roomy and the inside hot tub/sauna were well used. My only advice would be to have some sun loungers on the terrace outside main bedroom as that did seem wasted space although lovely views of the mountains and the sea. We would stay again.

Absolutely incredible stay at the villa very opulent from the minute the gate opens . So spacious,5 of us stayed for 1 week and the villa was just perfect. We decided to spend four nights at this beautiful property in a very rural part of Crete. We based ourselves here because of the location as it was close enough to Balos Lagoon, Elafonissi and Falasarna Beaches. The property is close to some very well regarded Cretan Tavernas so there is choice for food locally. Our hosts greeted us and provided us with some lovely pastries, fresh fruit, and items in the fridge which was much appreciated by us and our young family. The hosts were responsive and even gave us a parting gift which was unexpected but welcomed. We cannot recommend this Airbnb enough.

Encore un grand merci à Giorgos et Maria pour leur accueil. Une très grosse tempête de sable du Sahara a tout perturbé le jour de notre arrivée. Nos hôtes ont fait le maximum et même l’impossible pour tout nettoyer et nous permettre de profiter de la villa dans les meilleures conditions. La villa est magnifique. Tout est prévu pour que nous puissions nous détendre et profiter au maximum. Pleins de belles intentions, des produits à disposition permettent de ressentir le confort dès notre arrivée. Je ne peux que conseiller la villa Mythic Olive 😊

We loved the large balcony that wrapped around the apartment . The sunsets were incredible from there. The outside & inside furniture was of a very good quality and it was great to be able to sit out in the evenings. Inside is very well designed, a great layout, the kitchen is very well equipped and the sofas are very comfortable, the view from the sitting room and kitchen has an incredible sea view . The bathroom is really spacious with a great shower and 2 basins , all of a high standard. The 3 bedrooms all a good size, had lovely views towards the old village and town built up in to the mountain . The bedding was of an exceptional quality. The apartment was so close to the beach & to the the old town. We had incredible meals at both. A bus stop at the end of the road and many supermarkets were great too. Both Phillipe & Michelle were excellent hosts, attentive & helpful, you couldn’t fault them. We loved our stay! Thank you!

Wir hätten uns den Aufenthalt nicht schöner vorstellen können. Ein absolutes Stück Paradies, ganz privat mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Wahrlich einzigartig! Die Unterkunft hat alles, was man braucht. Eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, sodass man selber kochen und grillen kann. Alles ist sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl! Stella und ihr Ehemann sind unglaublich herzliche, gastfreundliche Menschen. Zu jeder Zeit haben sie ihre Hilfe angeboten und den Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht. Sie überraschten uns gleich zwei Mal mit leckeren selbstgemachten Speisen, stellten Wasser, Obst und Frühstück bereit. Wir werden die beiden und den Ort nicht mehr vergessen und kommen sicher wieder. ❤️ Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

George was an excellent host, one of the best I’ve ever dealt with on AirBnB! The apartment was in an excellent location, just a stones throw away from the Chania Old Town.

Het is een heerlijke plek op slechts een paar meter van de zee. Rondom het huis zijn verschillende zitjes, zodat je altijd een plekje in de zon of juist schaduw hebt. Het voelt echt als een paradijs op aarde waar je heerlijk tot rust komt. Het is zeker een plek om nog eens terug te komen

L'alloggio era molto comodo e Spyridon è stato molto presente ed attivo, pronto a rispondere a qualsiasi esigenza. Abbiamo avuto un leggero contrattempo con lo scarico del lavandino del bagno, nonostante stessimo solo una notte si è dimostrato subito comprensivo e pronto a far intervenire idraulico per risolvere il problema. Un host molto disponibile, e già questo fatto fa sì che valga la pena il soggiorno.

We loved this place. The balcony was very large with a direct view of the sea. There was a natural swimming area in front of the place that was perfect for a dip anytime. The sunsets were amazing. It is close enough to walk to the Chania city center, but a car is recommended to visit the many beaches on the island. Elpida was always available for any guidance that was needed. The place is a gem we hope to visit again!

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour chez Michalis. L'hôte nous a accueilli à la porte et a toujours été disponible. L'appartement est propre, bien équipé et le lit est super confortable. L'endroit est tout près de la plage de Neo Chora et ses restaurants. Facile aussi de se rendre à Chania à pied et en sécurité en 15 minutes environ. Il y a un supermarché tout près et une petite boutique "Sweet Brunch" qui sert un excellent capuccino et de bons mets préparés. Nous recommandons cet appartement sans hésitation.

Wonderful hosts, we felt like we were at home, kindness, communication, peace and quiet, accommodation as if it was made according to our needs. We are very happy because we met a fantastic family with whom we hope to become friends for life.
