Waterfront vacation rentals in Dar es Salaam

We have stayed in a number of places in Dar es Salaam, but this one has been the best so far: great location directly on the beach, lots of excellent restaurants in the vicinity, great supermarket a short Poa-ride away, a safe, quiet house in a compound and Junaid is extremely responsive and helpful with any queries that may come up. Definitely a place to come back to in the future.

Kate’s apartment is something special. The building is full of history, her space is so beautifully curated and the views of the city are epic. Kate is warm and communicative and more than accommodating. My stay offered a beautiful entry into Dar.

The location is perfect, very close to town but also not far from Masaki area. Ocean view everyday is just good for health haha, You do need to pay for extra used electricity yourself. The hosts are extremely responsive, understanding and helpful. Cleaning service is provided. Shop for basics like water, inside residence compound. It was a very peaceful place to stay, and I would come back to this place every time in Dar however, I moved to another flat from the same hosts in the same compound and for me it is even better.

The apartment was perfect in every way. It was comfortable with great amenities in a great location and the views were an added bonus. Hoping it’ll be available whenever we’re in Dar.

There's a famous & famously valuable & unique gemstone found only in Tanzania called Tanzanite. It's a beautiful blue verging on violet (think Elizabeth Taylor or Rhianna's eyes!). One of the most famous estates on earth is Goldeneye, in Jamaica, where Ian Fleming, who wrote the 007 books about James Bond, lived. I think of this place, in honour of Tanzanite, as Tanzaneye. My only regret in sharing this review is that I won't be able to stay here as much as I'd like as other people will discover this secret gem... "This other Eden, demi-paradise, This fortress built by Nature for herself Against infection and the hand of war, This happy breed of men, this little world, This precious stone set in the silver sea, Which serves it in the office of a wall Or as a moat defensive to a house, Against the envy of less happier lands, This blessed plot, this earth, this realm..." Shakespeare didn't come here, but he might have been inspired by dreaming upon it. A blessing of a haven.

Beautiful house in a heaven of peace not far from Dar, a staff very responsive with Omari. I highly recommend this place to rest for few days. I’ll come back few times.

Victoria’s place was beautiful, clean and exactly as described. She is friendly and super helpful. Luisa the house keeper was very helpful and even offered to clean after we cooked a which was super helpful. Check in is very easy and Godfrey is a true definition of Tanzanian hospitality.

We had an amazing stay once again! The house is in a perfect location, just a short walk to the beach, which makes it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The host is incredibly helpful and always goes above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need. This was not our first visit—we’ve been here several times already, and we always look forward to coming back. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for our vacations! We’d love to keep returning and would greatly appreciate a discount for loyal guests. Highly recommend this place to everyone!

The house is good, the neighborhood is amazing and neat, and the beach is awesome, the kids loved it, will definitely come back next time.

We felt immedialtey at home in the creatively set up home, which is partly a previous container. We had everything we needed and even heard the ocean waves and felt the sea breeze while sleeping. The beach is just 5-10 minutes walking distance from the place.

Well received, the host was always ready to assist.

Wow! This is what this totally hidden gem of a place! We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home literally localated on the beach. Super friendly staff that will always try and accommodate your requests. Winny and Joseph and the masai security took great care of us. The private gardens are enormous with plenty of seating areas to enjoy the sea breeze. Our host Sabrina was such a kind and thoughtful host, she even took time out to come visit us. She recommended great places to order food from and even arranged a local massage therapist to come visit. We would 100% recommend this beautiful hidden home to anyone wanting the luxury of a beach front getaway.

This beachfront apartment is a dream! Spacious, spotless, and offering breathtaking ocean views from every bedroom. The big TVs provide great entertainment, and the comfort of the large rooms is unmatched. The swimming pool is perfect for a refreshing dip, and the calm, friendly host ensures a smooth stay. The neighborhood is peaceful, with restaurants, KFC, and malls just a short walk away. Ideal for relaxation and fun—highly recommended! Can’t wait to return!
