The view from this house is everything! This little house is separated from the rest of the town, so you really get a feeling of isolation! It also helps that we got to see the northern lights. Just wow! Spacey enough for 6 adults!

Loved staying at this place! The loft made the living space so big and comfortable! Super easy to use the hot tub and spotted some great northern lights while in the comfort of warm water. :)

Birkir’s apartment was perfect for a couple visiting this northern small city. We especially appreciated the room darkening shades for the late May/early Junes dates. The location made it easy to walk to the herring museum, bakery (yum), grocery store, fish and chips restaurant and hike directly above town. Bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked great. We highly recommend this property.

Beautiful location. Near a ski resort and close to the heart of downtown. Home was very cozy for our family of five and everyone had their own beds. Very peaceful area. A short 5 minute drive to downtown and grocery. Host was very responsive and friendly. Would stay here again.

Extremely nice and cosy house for the group of friends. All in the kitchen and two bathrooms :) This is the second time we are all in the house together and we all agreed that it would be nice there. The location is central and the communication with the owner is great.

This House was a really Great Choice. It is a Little Bit further away from the ringroute but that made it really quiet and scenic too. It still is easy to reach and you have everything you need close by. I highly recommend to take a detour to this City it is really worth it. Herdís was a really helpful and friendly Host. If im ever going to visit Iceland again I make sure to take a stop there again.

This was one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve had. The apartment was so welcoming and the special touches were so thoughtful and appreciated. From the gift basket to the personalized welcome sheet, we felt at home immediately. Everything was immaculate and the added convenience of the washer/dryer was wonderful after spending a week in an RV. Host was fabulous and very responsive. I cannot recommend this stay more highly. My only regret was not accounting for additional nights — we would have loved another night or two it was so relaxing and comfortable.

Hands down the favorite place we stayed during our trips! Conveniently located near downtown but, quieter than staying in a more touristy area. They were great hosts and super helpful and the place was in great condition. Will be recommending this place to any friends I know traveling to Iceland.

We loved that apartment! Located in quiet, peaceful area with amazing views! But just 5 min drive from Akureyri! It is modern, clean, plenty of space for two people. Kitchen’s fully equipped, bed very comfortable, and there’s hot tub and grill on the patio! Highly recommended 👍👍

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. We loved the house and it eas wonderful having the hot tub each evening. The Hestasport team was fabulous at answerig questions on the rettir and helping arrange activities. In 4 days we went horseback riding, helped with a aheeo sirting, went whitewater rafting, explored the area, and ate at seceral fantadtic local restaurants. The hotel steos away from our house serves amazing food. Every part of this stay was wonderful. We highly recommend!

Great apartment. Exactly as described on Airbnb and as shown in the photos. Very homely place. Does not feel like a temporary guest accommodation, feels like your are staying in a proper functioning home as soon as you enter the place. This is one the best places I stayed during my entire Iceland trip. The parking is also free in the parking lot right adjacent to the apartment building. The apartment is on the first floor itself right next to the entrance of the apartment building, so very convenient for senior and elderly people also. If you are staying in Akureyri, go for this place.

We loved this house! It's in a very nice neighborhood about a 5 minute walk from restaurants, shops, the city pool (!), the big church, etc. Even the Netto grocery story is walking distance. The house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We made it our home base for a few days and took day trips to sights and activities in the area. We couldn't have asked for more.

Our stay at Smári & Laufey's place was great. They are lovely hosts and made us feel really welcome. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. We are really grateful for the welcome received and had an amazing time in Iceland.

We had a beautiful christmas stay here! The apartment was so cosy and we were sad to leave this place. It felt refreshing to be able to cook our dinner every night and sit down and watch some TV. The fold out couch was great for movie nights too!

This Airbnb in Akureyri was a great choice, as it was close to the centre and the interior was really nice (furnished with wooden mid-century furniture, which was a big plus for me). Helga, our host was very friendly and helpful, she recommended great restaurants, we tried one of them, and had a top notch experience.

If I could give more stars for location, I would. Definitely go the the public pool a short walk away. The people are so friendly and there are 2 awesome water slides (one is referred to by local kids as the toilet bowl, you'll see why in a fun way). This is a bottom floor apartment which seems very new. The apartment was quiet and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The bed was comfy. The Northern lights were amazing. Probably the best place we stayed in Iceland and a good value.

Perfect accommodation for families with children. The apartment was nice and clean, and our 4 year old was so happy to be able to play with the stuff available. Great to be able to relax in the hot tub. Highly recommend this property!

The place was newly restored, perfectly furnished to accommodate guests. There is a kitten that welcomes visitors and can be cuddled. Anna's house is comfortable and convenient as a base camp to explore the surroundings. The kitchen provides everything you need to make food. Spaces are best suited for a family with children. We were 4 adults and we still managed to divide the spaces without too much trouble.

Beautiful apartment, everything very clean, comfortable beds, enough space to just hang out on the sofa. You can quickly get to the city and it is surprisingly very quiet. I wouldn't have thought of such a large residential complex.

It is very difficult to get someone to offer you their own house for your stay, and for one night only. Andri and his family do it. It is unbelievable. As amazing is their beautiful home. Magnificent, beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It doesn't deserve 5 points out of 5, it deserves 10 out of 5. Pity that on a trip around Iceland you have to rush to see the sites and can't enjoy the house for a few hours awake, having a drink on the beautiful terrace. Extraordinary. More than recommended.
