House vacation rentals in Custer

We absolutely love the home, our kids played in the pool every single day. Everybody said it felt just like home. We will definitely be back.

We had a great stay! Amanda always responds quickly and even allowed my family who were arriving much earlier than us to have access a couple of hours before check in time. The house is cozy and in a quiet neighborhood close to pretty much everything. We would definitely stay there again especially when the pool is available to swim in.

Amazing place! It’s right off the highway so easy to get to and such a gorgeous house. The beds were super comfy also! Perfect house to hangout at. The only downfall with being pet friendly is there is so much mud around the house. And the rocks are hard for a dog to walk on. But still recommend and will definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed or stay at Sarah's Airbnb. Everything you need is within walking distance, which was quite enjoyable. Although, it is on the edge of downtown, we had no issue with road noise, which was nice relative to the location. There is a grocery store across the street, so it was easy to walk over and buy food to prepare in the well equipped kitchen. The Pizza Mill restaurant was also across the street and there pizzas were outstanding. I would highly recommend this impendent and locally owned business. We also walked a block to breakfast one morning and ate at the Our Place restaurant. This locally owned breakfast diner was also a gem and had a wonderful hometown atmosphere. Further down the main street were several other shops and places to eat. The only negative issue with Sarah's pace was the narrow, steep, and winding stairwell to the second floor. None of our group over 50 felt comfortable staying upstairs. All and all a good stay.

We had a wonderful stay in this home. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group, a nice living/dining/kitchen area and a wonderful hot tub to use. Everything was comfortable and clean and it was in a great location for all of our various adventures to different parks in the area. Would highly recommend!

This was our first time to South Dakota. We wanted to bring an elderly family member to see Mount Rushmore and other historic sites in the area, since they had never been. The house was perfect, very private, out in the country, easy to get to, definitely quieter than in town, no steps, plenty of space, kitchen was well stocked as well as the bathrooms. Having 2 1/2 baths was a perk for the 4 of us in our party. We absolutely loved the deck with the table with the firepit. The nights cooled down, so we were able to enjoy it nightly. We ate out on the deck mostly, grilling steaks which saved money, morning coffee, and breakfast too. Kari was very responsive when asked quick questions and even touched base with us before our trek from 800+ miles away. I searched several Air BnB and VRBO places and this one was perfect. It was pretty much centrally located for all we wanted to do. Thank you, Kari, for being such a gracious host and helping to make our vacation a memorable one.

We had an amazing day. The place was gorgeous. The host was super friendly and we couldn’t have asked for a better trip. We can’t wait to come back and visit!

This cabin is as pretty and nice as it is on the pictures. All amenities are great. Very clear instruction on everything. The main room upstairs has sliding door facing the front if the cabin which you get to see the front outside view when you wake up and it is such a nice relaxing view. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back!

Our stay was wonderful! The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and the view was everything we hoped it would be. The host, Kate, quickly responded to any inquiry we had. I highly recommend Kate's cabin.

The location of the property is awesome as far as proximity to everything. We visited Lead,Sturgis, Deadwood, Wall, Badlands and if course Custer State park. The property is quiet, has all of the amenities of home as well as a near by grocery store. There is a gas grill at the house, which is a nice perk and let me not forget- the owner offers a state park pass with your stay which covers the cost of the Custer park (or any other state park). The sky, air and stars are amazing up there. This home made it worth the trip and stay in South Dakota. And a side note, if looking for a local Mexican restaurant, visit Marias. Very good and affordable! Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful trip!

This was a beautiful home for our few days in the Black Hills! The home was very clean. We enjoyed coffee on the deck each morning with the company of passing deer, turkeys, and songbirds while we planned our day. Jackson’s home was a great location, close to everything that Hot Springs and the Black Hills have to offer. Jackson and his family were very communicative and answered any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Wow! We can’t say enough about Change of Altitude!! This cozy and clean home, located in a beautiful mountain setting, had everything our family needed for our week in the Black Hills. Gary and Nancy are excellent communicators and made sure we were satisfied with our stay. The home is centrally located to all the Black Hills attractions, and was a great place to come back to after our busy days of exploration. If you are thinking about visiting the Black Hills, look no further than this wonderful property. We had a wonderful stay! Everything was very nice and clean. The host is very good with communication, making sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. It was in good walking distance from food and drink. We had brought pac and plays for our children to sleep but, there were two there. They also had two sound machines for sleep which was very thoughtful! Highly recommend this host!

Our family enjoyed a fantastic weekend at The Brown House. We loved the location close to Custer State Park and also an easy drive to a grocery store. It surroundings were peaceful with a beautiful view over a meadow that had horses and deer. The house provided so many spaces for gathering both inside and out. We are already planning our return trip next year.

Amazing house with amazing views! It had everything advertised and the ping pong and air hockey worked!! We had several rainy days….

The home was spacious! We loved the huge, well equipped kitchen. The master bath was wonderful with two separate sinks, jacuzzi tub and large shower with two shower heads. The beds were very comfortable. It was located centrally for visiting Black Hill attractions.

We loved our stay! The house was the perfect home-away-from-home for our family vacation! The house is beautiful and the views are even more beautiful! We will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

You won't find a more perfect place that is private, yet close too everything. The house is well-equipped and spacious enough for a large group. We loved walking the property with our dogs and riding our bikes to town. Shana and team are very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again or tell friends. It is the cutest farmhouse in Custer!

An awesome cabin, in an even more awesome location.

This was a beautiful home with amazing surroundings. Lots of trees and wildlife. Sadly, a bluebird lost its life after crashing into the livingroom picture window. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The place was excellent. It was quiet and far enough away that it felt like we were in the woods but close enough to deadwood you could be at a restaurant in 15 minutes. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed and private stay!
