Originally the bedroom of the Ewing twins, whose family arrived in Carlisle in 1849, was papered with the present rose design in the 1930's. The wide plank yellow pine floorboards and the original pocket-shutters are small parts of the history that remains. The newly remodeled bathroom incorporates a five-foot wide shower with a seat and a Grohe Aquatower with body-jets.
