Hi. We would love for you to come and stay with us in our spacious double room with en-suite and TV. We are situated in the quiet village of Croagh located approximately 3 miles from the beautiful village of Adare. We are 20 minutes from Limerick City and are also on the main Limerick to Kerry road. There is a local restaurant in the village within walking distance and other food outlets near by within driving distance. There are 2 local pubs in the village too to enjoy a local drink.
“If you are looking for a snuggly soft bed with fresh, clean linens in the home of a friendly couple close to Adare but not in the middle of tourist traffic, you will be happy here. We appreciated the little touches—reading lamps on both sides of the bed, chocolates and water bottles waiting after our drive. So nice! Carmel & Pat were both home to welcome us, too, with a cup of tea, fresh apple tart (autumn visit!) and plenty of local information. Just what we needed!”
It's a bright and beautiful newly renovated apartment. It boasts its own kitchen/living room/bathroom and large bedroom.
“This apartment is a great cosy little place for people to head away for a night. We were delighted to find it. Great heating, lovely kitchen and bedroom just up a stairway from ground level . It’s very easily accessible from main roadways. Great value and there is a lockbox with a key to make your way in. It’s located in Adare, a touristy town with lots of things to see and do. Great Airbnb to stay in when on a budget !”
Foxmeadow Cottage is close to the picturesque village of Adare with its historic buildings and wide range of quality restaurants, atmospheric pubs and family-friendly activities. You’ll love the cottage because of the views and the peaceful rural surroundings. It is good for couples and families (with kids) and is also ideal as a base for touring the Wild Atlantic Way or for guests attending weddings in one of Adare's renowned hotels.
“Our stay at Fox Meadow Cottage was perfection! It was easy to find, using a GPS, and we were pleased to see that it looks just as the pictures! Mary met us as we were unloading the car, with a warm welcome. She took us around the house, explaining how to manage heat, appliances, etc. She had also left us fresh eggs from her chickens! We were there in November, and she had a fire laid in the family room stove, so our first night was cozy and perfect! I texted her the next day and asked what we buy for more supplies for the fire and asked for a lesson to build our next fire. When we returned from our day, she was out for the night, but had laid another fire for us and let us know that she'd give us our lesson the next evening. The cottage is very Irish and homey. All new hardwood floors, except for tile in the bathrooms, entry, laundry room and kitchen. Lovely well done kitchen great for cooking in. We felt very at home there. Mary is helpful, prompt to respond, and has a great personality! We enjoyed our visit with her on our last night in the cottage. She has great insight to the country, and to Adare, suggesting good pubs, shopping, etc. We look forward to visiting with Mary again! We feel as if we had a wonderful vacation and have made a new friend. Ann and Jim Reego”
