Family-friendly vacation rentals in Crete

Mein Freund und ich waren 5 Tage in der Unterkunft und waren sehr zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist im Erdgeschoss eines schönen modernen Hauses. Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlte an nichts. Hervorzuheben ist die schöne Terrasse mit Whirlpool. Die Lage ist super. Es sind circa 15 Minuten Autofahrt bis zum Zentrum Chanias. Mehrere Strände sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Das Haus selbst ist ruhig gelegen. Es bietet einen guten Ausgangspunkt, um Kreta zu erkunden. Katerina und ihr Mann sind tolle Gastgeber. Bei Ankunft erwartete uns ein frischer griechischer Salat, Orangen und Wein. Wir bekamen ein paar Tage später frisches Gemüse aus dem Garten. Katerina war stets erreichbar und sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Insgesamt würden wir die Unterkunft weiter empfehlen! 5/5 Sterne!

Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! Amazing home.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel chez Tasos. L’appartement est encore plus magnifique en vrai que sur les photos, avec une vue imprenable sur la mer qui coupe littéralement le souffle. Le jacuzzi privé est un véritable plus, offrant des moments de détente incomparables. L’appartement est parfaitement équipé, tout y est pensé pour votre confort. De plus, vous êtes à moins de 10 minutes à pied de la plage d’Agia et des meilleurs restaurants du coin, idéal pour profiter pleinement de la région. Tasos est un hôte très attentif et réactif, qui fait tout pour que votre séjour soit absolument parfait. Vous pouvez réserver les yeux fermés, vous ne serez pas déçus. P.S. : N’oubliez pas de nourrir le petit chat de la résidence, il est absolument adorable. 😉

Superbe endroit avec une jolie décoration. Une terrasse pour se détendre et prendre ses repas à couper le souffle. Manolis et sa femme sont très charmant et d une extrême gentillesse. L hospitalité crétoise au rendez vous, nous avons eu droit à des légumes, du pain, confiture , miel, des petits mets préparés.... Je recommande fortement cette adresse lors d un passage dans la région.

Very nice modern house (less than five years old?) overlooking the sea. Everything in very good working order, including powerful air conditioning in the bedrooms. Frequent cleaning of the pool area was a benefit, particularly when a storm had come in the night before. Very convenient to Rethymno as well as to several bakeries and restaurants towards the centre of the island.

Wir haben 3 wunderschöne Wochen in Manos House verbracht, das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, es hat einen sehr schönen Garten in dem man wunderbar verweilen kann, nur wenige Gehminuten vom Strand und den Restaurants entfernt. Abends haben wir bei einem Glas Wein auf dem Balkon gesessen auf und den Sonnenuntergang genossen. Stavros ist ein kleiner ruhiger Ort in dem man sehr schnell in den Urlaubsmodus kommt und die Zeit einfach nur genießen kann. Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder.

A lovely, luxury appartment near the beach and about 30 minutes' walk from the old town of Chania. A well-equipped, clean and beautiful appartment, but above all the warm and friendly hostess Anastasia. She guided us around the area, brought local delicacies, stocked the fridge with food and even drove us to the grocery store with her car. We really enjoyed our stay at the appartment and can wholeheartedly recommend it to others. You certainly wont't be disapointed!

Εξαιρετική εμπειρία!! Μείναμε σε αυτό το υπέροχο Airbnb και πραγματικά ξεπεράστηκαν οι προσδοκίες μας. Ο χώρος ήταν πεντακάθαρος, άνετος και πολύ προσεγμένος – αλλά αυτό που έκανε πραγματικά τη διαφορά ήταν το προσωπικό. Από την πρώτη στιγμή μας υποδέχτηκαν με ευγένεια, χαμόγελο και αυθεντική φιλοξενία. Ήταν πάντα διαθέσιμοι για ό,τι χρειαστήκαμε, πρόθυμοι να βοηθήσουν με χαρά και καλή διάθεση. Δεν ένιωθες απλώς επισκέπτης – ένιωθες καλεσμένος! Η αίσθηση ζεστασιάς και σεβασμού που μας έδειξαν έκανε τη διαμονή μας πραγματικά αξέχαστη. Τέτοια εξυπηρέτηση σπανίζει και αξίζει να αναγνωρίζεται. Το προτείνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα και σίγουρα θα επιστρέψουμε! 🙌✨

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in dem wunderschönen, traditionellen Haus. Wir liebten es! Es ist sehr geräumig, draußen wie wie drinnen gibt es viele Sitzmöglichkeiten. Alles ist sehr sauber und es waren sehr viele Extras vorhanden. Inmitten alter Olivenbäume konnten wir im Schatten entspannen und die Stille genießen. Der kleine Pool war perfekt für eine Erfrischung! Es gibt einige Restaurants, welche wir zu Fuß durch die griechische Landschaft erreichen konnten. Einige der schönsten Strände waren gut erreichbar. Viele Empfehlungen erhielten wir von der tollen Gastgeberin. Dimitra hatte uns herzlich empfangen und uns mit Köstlichkeiten versorgt. Sogar der Kühlschrank war mit kleinen Annehmlichkeiten gefüllt, sodass wir nach der Anreise Essen und Entspannen konnten. So einen großzügigen Empfang haben wir noch nicht erlebt. Wir können es sehr empfehlen und möchten wiederkommen!

Nikos' place is incredible. It totally transports you to another time and lets you absorb the beauty of the Cretan landscape and nature. We noticed something new every day. Having the pool with stunning views of the mountains and sea, a well-equipped kitchen and an olive tree shaded seating area to eat in, meant we rarely had to leave the place! A holiday to remember forever for us. Thank you

Absolut empfehlenswert! Penelopi und ihr Mann sind hervorragende Gastgeber, die uns mit Herzlichkeit und Gastfreundlichkeit empfangen haben. Das Apple Apartment ist wunderschön, top ausgestattet und sehr gepflegt. Zahlreiche Bäume und Pflanzen umranden die gemütliche Terrasse. Der Ort ist sehr ruhig und man ist in wenigen Minuten am Strand von Koutsounari. Die Stadt Ierapetra ist nur wenige Auto Minuten entfernt. Der Innenbereich ist ebenso sehr gepflegt und die Einrichtung ist im typisch griechischem Stil gehalten. Wir waren nun das zweite Mal hier und würden immer wieder kommen. Wir haben Empfehlungen für Strände und Sehenswürdigkeiten bekommen, die fast nur Einheimische kennen. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal, wenn wir Penelopi, Nikos, Sissi und Dobby wiedersehen 😇😍

This was our 4th stay at Giannis' place and as always it was perfect. The property is exactly as pictured and described, so comfortable, with amazing outdoor space and everything you need (great WiFi, smart TV, great shower, plenty of towels and bed linen, etc). The outdoor space is the major selling point, with lots of different relaxing areas, plenty of shade, and a fabulous pool. And stunning views to boot! Agios Myron is a lovely little town: if you go please make sure to visit the local bar, restaurant, bakery and shop, all run by lovely people. Looking forward to returning again next year!

Ευχάριστο καλωσόρισμα, το περιβάλλον ήταν άψογο και η προσέλευση στον χώρο ήταν αρκετά εύκολη βάση των οδηγιών του οικοδεσπότη. Όλα είναι όπως ακριβώς αναγράφονται στην περιγραφή του διαμερίσματος. Ο χώρος φιλοξενίας ήταν άριστος, καθώς η καθαριότητα και η περιποίηση του σπιτιού μας άφησαν αρκετά ικανοποιημένους!!! Ο ιδιοκτήτης του διαμερίσματος είναι πολύ καλός άνθρωπος και ευχάριστη προσωπικότητα. Κατά την άφιξη μας έκανε ξενάγηση στον χώρο και μας ενημέρωσε πως μπορούμε να αξιοποιήσουμε τις υπηρεσίες που παρείχε το διαμέρισμα, γενικά μας κατατόπισε πλήρως! Σίγουρα θα το επισκεφτούμε ξανά κάποια στιγμή και το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα!! Ωραίος προορισμός για εκείνους που θέλουν λίγη ησυχία και χαλάρωση!

A lovely stay in this gorgeous flat in the centre of Heraklion. Super close to everything in the City Centre, including the Archaeological Museum and the bus to Knossos Palace. The flat itself was charming and spotless, with a lovely little outdoor patio area. And the hosts were so helpful, really went above and beyond to help us out and make sure there were plenty of recommendations for our stay. If we come back to Heraklion, we'll definitely stay again. Thank you so much!

Pobyt był wspaniały. Mieszkan ie z klimatem, urocze i nastrojowe, w sercu starego miasta. Każdy znalazł tam swoje miejsce. Cudowny taras z widokiem na zatokę i widokiem na wenecki port. wieczorami idealny do obswrrwowania życia miasta. zdarzają się koncerty w gratisie ;). kuchnia swietnie wyposarzona. Nina pomocna we wszystkim.

Nous avons passé un séjour mémorable à Kastri dans ce bel appartement avec une vue magnifique ! Les hôtes sont très accueillants et disponibles, le logement est parfait et le village très charmant et authentique. Nous vous recommandons vivement cet endroit !!

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit einer Top-Lage direkt am Meer. Der Vermieter ist sehr engagiert und super freundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

As someone who’s constantly traveling for both work and leisure, it’s rare to come across a place where everything is so well thought out that there’s nothing to comment on, in the best way. This is genuinely one of my favorite stays. The location and views are magical and the attention to detail across the property is impressive. The pool and garden were always perfectly maintained and for a mountain spot, it’s not easy to find such clear, bug-free water. The team on site was great, always helpful without being intrusive. The food at the restaurant isn’t fancy but it’s honest, home-cooked, and made with care. Thank you for everything, I’d definitely come back and already started recommending it to friends.

We loved staying at Petros's place. The location is picture perfect and completely serene, coupled with the stunning views - perfect getaway gem. The villa is beautifully designed with lots of places to explore and hang out in. Petros is very accommodating and all around helpful from assisting us in setting up the outdoor speakers to offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf. We had an absolutely amazing time and hope to stay at the villa again when we come back to Crete. Highly recommend!

The stay was good, private and secluded. All listed amenities were present. Pool and BBQ were crucial to us, also worth to mention: there is an A/C unit in each room. Wifi was perfectly stable. You can hear the road noises, but it is manageable, it didn't affect our experience.

We had a fantastic time at the villa, it’s easily the best villa we’ve ever stayed in. It’s better than the photos - which is a rare thing. The view is amazing and it’s super peaceful. A fan base for exploring beautiful Crete. The owner Giannis met us at the villa and had even bought groceries for us including a lovely bottle of local wine, such a nice touch to start our holiday. He’s really welcoming and had plenty of good recommendations for us. The pool is fantastic and our girls really enjoyed themselves playing. Lake Kourna is a must visit and you’ve a beautiful view of it from the villa. Thanks for a truly memorable stay - We will certainly stay here again.

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.

We really enjoyed our stay in Thomais´resort. Thomais did everything to make us feel welcome and welcomed us with homemade cooking and wine. Located on the mountain top the distance to shopping and restaurants is several kilometers, but excellent taxi service solved this so we dropped our plans to rent a car.
