Farmstay vacation rentals in Crete

We absolutely loved this villa, Mania very kindly greeted us at Midnight as we had a late flight, and yes the reviews are right, she arrived with the most amazing moussaka and even made a vegetarian one. Mania was always available for any advice/recommendations and managed the tricky combination of being present but not intrusive. There was also a really thoughtful welcome gift of homemade food waiting for us. The kitchen was really well equipped, and super clean, we ate in a lot and enjoyed dinners on the covered terrace. We loved the pool, the kids especially, we spent a lot of time in the pool as it was very hot. The beds were comfy, the rooms all have their own bathroom, and terraces, there was lots of thoughtful touches throughout. The garden is beautiful and I don't think we managed to sit in all the different seating areas in the week. The winner for me was the decor, it was so beautiful, it was like staying in house in a Home Decor magazine. We will definitely come back.

It was a perfect place! George and family were very welcoming! Our daughter was even allowed to play upstairs with his children! Apartment was nice, spacious and very clean! With large balconies (with fantastic views) and a spacious garden that was perfect for our 4 year old daughter. From the garden, we got lettuce, eggs, sheep's milk and olive oil. Close to the beach, nice restaurants and hiking trails. Worth repeating! We enjoyed it :).

Wonderful location amongst thousands of olive trees. The view of the surroundings is stunning; both sunrise and sunset are amazing. We were at a conference in town so weren’t able to take advantage of the house to its fullest, but it was great to return and relax. Very quiet and peaceful. The owner, Manos, is extremely friendly and responsive. We had some food when we arrived including olive oil and raki that he makes. The rental organizing company is very responsive. There is a wonderful restaurant about 5 min drive down. I’m hoping to be able to return someday.

Very nice modern house (less than five years old?) overlooking the sea. Everything in very good working order, including powerful air conditioning in the bedrooms. Frequent cleaning of the pool area was a benefit, particularly when a storm had come in the night before. Very convenient to Rethymno as well as to several bakeries and restaurants towards the centre of the island.

Great traditional private house (with an attached studio). Very quiet and within walking distance (700 meters) to White Lake Beach and the monastery. Just a 5-minute drive to both Elafonissi Beach and Kedrodasos Beach. The property features a lovely yard, private parking, and is conveniently located about 400 meters from a mini market and several restaurants. The owners are very kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect for a relaxing vacation, and we really appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. Communication with the host was smooth and easy.

We had a lovely week , Kostas was really genuine, kind and respectful 10/10 ,the little house has everything you need inside and out , bathroom very serviceable, with washing machine which was great , the bathroom being separate to the house was not a issue , was actually, really good 😊 hot tub was very clean and of good upkeep , we can’t thanks Kostas enough for his hospitality including bring a fabulous, breakfast , eating out doors was lovely in fantastic surroundings, would definitely recommend this place 🥇

Alba Lilia was a great place to stay. The villa was spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The outdoor space was particularly great with a large dining table and lots of chairs, and numerous sunbeds by the pool. The host was also able to provide a high chair and travel cot for our baby which was great. We also had a visit from a cleaner and a pool man to keep everything clean during the stay, which was appreciated. For anyone driving to the villa: Google Maps sometimes tries to direct you via a very rough road to the villa if you’re coming from Chania. It’s better to drive through/around the town of Kamilari which will put you on a proper paved road to the villa.

We had a great stay here! The place is super quiet and surrounded by olive trees and fruit trees — really peaceful. The garden was just for us, which we loved. The house was clean and spacious, with lots of room for our luggage. Parking was easy too. Katerina and her mom were very nice and responsive, and they even left us some fresh fruit. The lemons were unbelievably tasty! All in all, a really relaxing and comfortable stay. Would definitely come back!

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Louloudia- Jacq and Pilo were perfect hosts who made sure we very happy, comfortable and well informed. The villa is lovely, super clean, very well equipped and decorated beautifully. Everything you could possibly need is there! Jacq and Pilo live next door but are very discreet, also on hand should you need them. I would thoroughly recommend Villa Louloudia, thank you both 🙏🏼

The villa is clean, well stocked, and spacious. Simos was incredibly responsive and great to communicate with. The area is lovely, with a few excellent restaurants in walking distance, wineries and olive farms really close, and Knossos Palace also a short drive away. It’s a great place to unwind and the proximity to the Heraklion airport is also a bonus if you’re flying off the island.

I truly recommend staying with Niko in this beautiful villa! The house is very modern, the outside area spectacular and private and the communication with Niko was clear and helpful. The accommodation works for both families and friends. The house is located around 30mins from Chania which is easy to get to by car. Can only recommend renting this villa.

We absolutely loved our stay at this house. Maria met us at the house and walked me through. It is a large house, very clean, and has an amazing view. The home comes fully stocked with everything you need, including some extra treats the host provided. It is in a central location on the island and is also very close to several restaurants. We would highly recommend!

Oasis in nature, gorgeous villa with a pool overlooking the sea and hills. We absolutely loved our stay! The house is beautifully decorated, well equiped, there is everything you might need and really comfy bed :-) We loved the pool that has an amazing view. We enjoyed different seating options - 2 terrases, armchairs by the pool, or in shade under the tree.. Nikos and Maria are absolutely adorable! They made sure we had everything we needed. They even bought toys for our kids to play with and prepare new toys for the pool. You feel completely in the nature, in the hills, but you are still 2min from the main road to go places. We will definitely come back!!! :-)

Amazing place, beautiful villa with personal bathrooms in each room and a huge citrus garden around. Perfect for big groups.

We had a great time at Villa Adagio in Vrachasi. Great base to visit other places like Agios Nikolaos to find some sunshine and beautiful surroundings during the first few days of our stay before enjoying the heated pool at the weekend. In Vrachasi you’ll find some really good tavernas with the nicest people. Charis, George and Sofia were very attentive and responsive throughout our stay catering for all our needs. Simply excellent hosts!

Our stay in Agios Ioannis at Luisa’s traditional Cretan cottage was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had! How to sum it up in one review… To start, Luisa was so friendly and helpful when it came to giving us directions to get to the remote village, a flexible check-in time, and TONS of local recommendations. The house itself was spectacular. The patio views of the mountains and sea were absolutely breathtaking and the garden was a private and lovely spot to spend our mornings in. Truly a sacred place, we felt very at home and loved the traditional charm and being so close to nature. We were still within a 15 minute drive to lots of great beaches, restaurants, markets, and hikes, despite being so high up in the mountains. Luisa provided us with everything we needed to have a very special getaway, even inviting us over for dinner in our last night. Cannot thank her enough. If you are looking for the perfect place to experience Crete, this is it! We cannot wait to return!

A lovely stay with friends. The villa is in a beautiful location but definitely requires a car. The villa’s entrance is very secluded and quite an adventure - smaller cars may struggle. The host was very responsive and proactive and seemingly wanted us to have a really great holiday. I’d definitely recommend the villa to friends and family.

Beautiful stone villa perfect for our family! The weather was too cool to utilize the pool but we enjoyed a glass of wine outside in the picturesque settings. When booking, we made the assumption the smaller pool was the hot tub/jacuzzi however it is a smaller (not heated) pool for younger children. The jacuzzi is in the master bedroom. We were very sad to say goodbye to this home.

We had a wonderful stay. Gina and her family made us feel at home right from the beginning. Gina is an excellent cook and we had almost every meal at her taverna. Paradise!

Had a wonderful stay here. Llove everything about the villa from how clean it was, the space the amenities and the heated pool. Peter and Georgia were wonderful hosts. I would definitely recommend this villa.

The villa is even bigger and more beautiful than on the pictures. It is a little paradise with peacocks and own olive farm and little pond with red fish and parrots. It was just unbelievable! We celebrated our wedding with 30 people there and I could not imagine more suitable place for pictures, videos and fun! It is unforgettable, has everything you need and very private. The owner was so helpful and gave us his home made drinks as a gift. I am super happy that I found this paradise and will defo want to come back again and again!
