Cycladic house vacation rentals in Crete

A change of regular venue for us in Crete and what a find. Right on the promontory with 200 degrees of unspoilt views. The beach feels private as we were alone 90% of the time and then only a couple of others. The water is magnificent. Alexandros was very accommodating with our late arrival and had a pizza for us which was much appreciated as everything was closed. I read another review on here and they had it spot on. Local seafront village is a lovely, a little shabby, packed with local Greeks at the weekend and the food was great, friendly and cheap. We were a family of four adults and had the best time. Just very chilled and gentle. Definitely coming back!!

Une semaine formidable passée à Matala en famille. La maison est parfaite pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants, la grande terrasse avec une vue magnifique sur la baie est un vrai bonheur !!! Et le village est très sympa avec beaucoup d’animations!!

Magnifique séjour face a la mer et paisible!visite de chats a notre arrivée pour le plus grand bonheur de notre fils. La maison était propre et nous attendait du linge de toilette . Tout c est parfaitement passer. la maison est très agréable et fonctionnelle

An unforgettable stay at Doma Hotel My stay at Doma Hotel in Falasarna was nothing short of excellent. The room overlooking the crystal-clear blue sea felt like paradise. The houses and rooms are even more beautiful than in the photos, thoughtfully designed and impeccably maintained. What truly made the experience exceptional were Eleni and Pavlos, the wonderful hosts. They were incredibly kind, warm, and helpful throughout my stay. This place deserves more than five stars. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Wir haben uns in dem schön renovierten alten Haus sofort wohlgefühlt. Auch wenn die Fotos es ein wenig größer erscheinen lassen, das Haus versprüht seinen Charme und ist top ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet worden. Elina ist super hilfreich und hat uns zahlreiche Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben. Die (einzige) Taverne im Ort ist ein paar Schritte entfernt und ausgezeichnet. Beim Raki-Konsum in der Taverne sollte man allerdings zurückhaltend sein, sonst könnte retour im Haus die steile Stiege in das obere Stockwerk zur unüberwindbaren Hürde werden. Da ist Trittsicherheit gefordert. Die Pefkoi-Schlucht lässt sich ganz einfach direkt vom Quartier aus erwandern. Belohnt wird man mit einer schönen Tour und wunderbaren Blicken hinunter nach Makri Gialos und zu den lohnenden Stränden. Wer in seinem Urlaub authentisches, kretisches Dorfleben erleben möchte, der ist mit dem Haus von Elina in Pefkoi sehr gut beraten.

We had an amazing stay at Blue Casa. Beautiful beaches and hikes are nearby. Mirthios is a nice cosy village with great food options and very friendly people.

We loved staying in this house - one of the best that we have stayed in over many years visiting Crete . View over the mountains is spectacular and the area is very quiet. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. The outside sitting area and pool are perfect for sunbathing and eating outside. We didn’t want to leave ! Eleftherios was very helpful and answered our questions quickly. We would love to return .

Eine unfassbar schöne Unterkunft mit wahnsinnigem Ausblick! Top ausgestattet und wirklich super sauber! Ich könnte nichts nennen was in der Unterkunft fehlt. Wir waren insgesamt eine Gruppe von 11 Leute und trotzdem gab es mehr als genug Platz und Möglichkeiten um sich auch mal zurück zu ziehen. Jedes der 4 Zimmer hat ein eigenes Badezimmer, was gerade für große Gruppen sehr angenehm ist. Besonders die zusätzliche Outdoorküche mit Grill hat es uns angetan. Restaurants und Supermärkte sind fußläufig, wenn man allerdings plant viel unterwegs zu sein (was bei der schönen Unterkunft schon fast zu schade ist) empfiehlt es sich ein Auto zu mieten. Auch zu verschiedenen Autovermietungen ist es nur ca. ein Fußweg von 20-25 Minuten, sollte man sich hierzu spontan entscheiden. Die Gastgeber waren wirklich sehr herzlich und haben uns direkt bei Ankunft viele nette Tips gegeben. Die beiden waren immer erreichbar und haben super schnell geantwortet. Wir kommen also mit Sicherheit wieder!

Wir waren zu 8 da und es hat optimal gepasst. Stratos war immer zu erreichen und wir konnten gut kommunizieren. Sie kamen sogar noch einmal um alles frisch zu machen und erneut gründlich sauber zu machen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und angenehm, direkt neben dem Haus gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und eine Tankstelle. 2 min mit dem Auto die Straße hoch gibt es einen tollen Biohof mit Café/Restaurant und einem tollen Ausblick. Ein Auto ist allerdings definitiv nötig um auch mal an den Strand zu kommen oder in die größeren Städte. Rundum waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Ein sehr großes sauberes Haus mit traumhafter Aussicht. Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin top. In der Mitte des Aufenthalts wurde das komplette Haus geputzt, alle Handtücher wurden ausgetauscht. Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. sehr ruhige abgelegene Lage. Bei dieser Unterkunft ist ein Auto notwendig, da keine Restaurants bzw Geschäfte in Geh nähe sind. Ist jedoch auch in der Beschreibung beschrieben. zum Meer Zugang führt eine Straße, ist in einigen Gehminuten erreichbar. bei starkem Wellengang kann der Zugang nur schwer genutzt werden.

Faultless Stay!🤩 Just back from 12nights me,my husband and two daughters (7&6) Etouri were so helpful and friendly from the start of booking to check out. Maria was a a lovely kind host, a pleasure to meet her. The villa surpassed our expectations , amazing amenities and comfortable beds,brilliant nights sleep, fab showers, class pool . We loved the bbq /dining area for meals in the evening. The villa was so private with the most stunning sea views and gorgeous sunsets. Can’t wait to return x

We booked this villa as a treat for our 40th and our first holiday in 15 years without our son. The villa was absolutely beautiful and the hosts were lovely. They had made us a Greek salad on our arrival and had provided us with milk eggs wine and fruit. They even made a beautiful marble cake as we had a thunderstorm and everything was covered in sand so they had to come a second day to clean the pool and outside area so we could use it.. Eftychis and his mum also provided use with restaurants and site seeing destinations like the botanical gardens which were well worth visiting.. We tried to book the villa again this year but they are fully booked. So we will be looking to book again next year.. It is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit..

The villa itself is pure luxury - spotlessly clean, tastefully designed, and equipped with everything one could possibly need for a relaxing and carefree stay. What truly made our holiday special, however, was the incredible hospitality of our host, Panagoula. Even before our arrival, she was in touch with me, patiently answering all our questions and making us feel welcome from the start. We were greeted with such warmth at the airport, and upon arrival at the villa, we found delightful culinary surprises and a beautiful selection of fresh fruit waiting for us. The mid-stay cleaning service after four days was a lovely touch, and we are especially grateful for Panagoula’s tireless support after the stormy weather – and for the delicious, healthy meal she brought us during the week! You and your family are the best! Highly recommended – we’d return in a heartbeat. Thanks a lot!

Unser Aufenthalt in der Villa auf Kreta war einfach traumhaft und hat all unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen, und die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war von Anfang an freundlich, schnell und unkompliziert. Die Villa selbst war in perfektem Zustand – sehr sauber, hochwertig und modern ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Küche hatte alles, was man braucht, die Schlafzimmer waren gemütlich und klimatisiert, und der Außenbereich mit Pool war ein absolutes Highlight. Hier konnten wir entspannen und die wunderschöne Aussicht genießen. Sogar eine Tischtennisplatte war vorhanden, die für viel Spaß und Abwechslung gesorgt hat. Die Lage der Villa ist ideal: ruhig und idyllisch, aber dennoch nah genug zu Stränden, Tavernen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und konnten unseren Urlaub in vollen Zügen genießen. Vielen Dank für diese unvergessliche Zeit, wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen!

What a wonderful villa in a beautiful and peaceful setting! Everything from making the initial booking to checking in and out was made extremely easy. Communication was brilliant from beginning to end. The hosts are so friendly and have thought about every little detail, providing useful links/recommendations and tips for your stay. Almyrida was our first family holiday in a long time and we couldn't fault our stay. We had our original accommodation cancel on us a week before we were due to arrive in Crete, and we are so thankful we found Villa Asteria, as it exceeded our expectations. We used the local taxi company regularly and they made travel super easy. Pool area is great and spacious, we even had inflatables left for us. Having a balcony/terrace off each room is fantastic. We loved the traditional feel of the villa. We were sad to leave and hope to return again in the future. Thank you so much, Sasha & Family

We had a great time at Villa Adagio in Vrachasi. Great base to visit other places like Agios Nikolaos to find some sunshine and beautiful surroundings during the first few days of our stay before enjoying the heated pool at the weekend. In Vrachasi you’ll find some really good tavernas with the nicest people. Charis, George and Sofia were very attentive and responsive throughout our stay catering for all our needs. Simply excellent hosts!

We had a fantastic week away at Orizontes Residence in Crete where the whole family felt relaxed and hardly wanted to leave as we had everything we needed on site. The property is beautifully decorated inside with everything we needed to enjoy a great holiday. The bedrooms were all very comfortable with towels, bathrobes and their own bathrooms. Outside is where the property is even better with a beautiful pool, a shaded dining area, a hot tub, a table tennis table, and an outdoor gas fire, all with the utmost privacy. The WiFi was so good we had no complaints from our sons all week and the air-conditioning was excellent even though it was nearly 40 some days! The whole family loved our time here and we will definitely be returning to such a great property in a perfect location. Thank you again to Roi, Xenia and Rosetta who made our holiday such a memorable one and congratulations on such a perfect holiday home.

Wir fanden eine geschmackvoll und hochwertig ausgestattete Unterkunft mit wunderbar bequemen Betten vor. Auf dem gemütlichen Sofa auf der Terrasse haben wir die Sonnenuntergänge genießen können. Unseren Mietwagen (für Ausflüge sehr zu empfehlen) parkten wir in der Garage direkt unter der Wohnung. Theseus Beach Village ist eine idyllische, gepflegte Anlage mit Pool und Strand, die sehr beschaulich ist. Simos war immer schnell über zu erreichen und sehr freundlich. Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit in seinem Haus.

We had an amazing stay at Levante Villa, it was easily the best villa we have stayed at. Everything was immaculate at the view was incredible. A car is definitely essential as it's situated up a hill but the equally meant the surroundings and view were so beautiful. The host was friendly and welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We had a wonderful 5 nights at this property, accompanied by our two teenaged children and my parents who are 79 & 81. It has panoramic views of the sea and surrounding Cretan landscape that are gorgeous, as are the grounds themselves. The house is accessed by an automated gate, so private and secure. The outside amenities are amazing and no detail has been spared, especially for families, as described in the listing. There is an elevator, which we predominantly used for luggage but is handy with older family members as the bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. There are three bedrooms on the 2nd floor, all with their own en suite bathrooms, two with showers and one with a soaking tub. The top floor is its own suite with the stairs open to below so great if you are traveling with a family but maybe less so if you are four couples. The communication was excellent, with Roy responding to WA messages within moments, regardless of hour and the housekeeper came daily. We loved our stay!

Wir wären zum zweiten Mal in der Unterkunft, dieses Mal in der Vorsaison. Es hat uns wieder sehr gut gefallen und wir hatten alles was man braucht. Bei warmem und trockem Wetter lädt sonst die tolle Terrasse mit unterschiedlichen Sitzmöglichkeiten zum Verweilen ein, das konnten wir dieses Mal leider nicht so ausgedehnt nutzen aufgrund des Wetters. Leider waren noch nicht alle Restaurants geöffnet. Toller Gastgeber, wir kommen gern wieder. Die Lage ist super, man ist schnell am Strand und bei vielen Restaurants

We really loved our stay at Galini Breeze which was last stop on our honeymoon trip. We were made to feel very welcome by Serhat on arrival and throughout our time both Serhat and Hamza were super friendly hosts. They also provided us with some great recommendations on secluded beaches to visit. The hotel itself was lovely, with beautiful pool area overlooking the Mount Ida in one direction and the coast. Rooms were very contemporary with lovely private balconies. It was nice how they had thought about everything, and even had a washing machine, a selection of beach toys/ sun umbrellas. While a bit touristy we enjoyed Agia Galini, plus it is an amazing base to explore if you have access to a hire car and don't mind the hills. Other than that the driving was fine. Thanks
