The Mallards

SueRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Mary was a very welcoming host- she was responsive, friendly and easy to communicate with, and left a wonderful welcome pack - including her delicious homemade granola. Mary was also very welcoming to our son and his wife who managed to fit in staying with us during part of our week's stay (they slept on a futon). They loved the place too! The flat is just outside Kinvara which is a lovely village, where, on Mary's recommendation, we listened to live trad Irish music and ate pizza one night. It's a great place from which to explore the burren (don't miss the lovely Russell Gallery and the nearby Flaggy Shore!). Thank you Mary!

Lucy is the best host I’ve met since I Started with Airbnb in 2013. She offered so much of her valuable local expertise, her home and her baked goods! She met us at the gate upon arrival and was always available to us. I love her farmhouse home: Rustic, smart, green, clean and filled with so many homey touches and cozy accountrements. The gardens and hot houses are bursting with life and some delicious fruits and veggies are available off the bush. A one of kind gem if you like nature and rustic living. Airbnb should feature this home as a prime example of the best types of experiences available on their platform.

Kylemore Hideaway in Connemara

We loved staying at Triona's cottage. We spent so much time outside, exploring the surroundings. It was great for kids, both our 12 year old and 4 year old were so impressed with it. It was unusually warm when we were here and Triona brought a fan down which made it even more comfortable inside. Definitely recommend, I would love to come back!

Stunning, Luxurious Cottage, Nr Kinvara Co. Galway

DeannaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My husband and I took our 3 children with us to site see all over Ireland and this cottage was absolutely wonderful. We needed something that could help accommodate our youngest at 2 years old, and our oldest at 12 years old. Not only was the cottage beautiful, but it was well equipped with toys, books, movies, pack n play, high chair, toddler plates, and a trampoline for the older kids. Fiona and her family were very kind and respectful to our privacy while still providing social interaction when we saw each other. Fiona provided great recommendations for bars, activities, etc. It was a great location to enjoy the peace and quiet, while still be close great sights and shopping, i.e. Galway, Aillweee Caves, and Cliffs of Moher.

We had such a lovely stay here! The location is lovely and the house is tucked away so feels very private. The beds were very comfortable me and the house was nicely laid out and well stocked. Aoife was very responsive and helpful and it was great to be met by a real person (Margaret) to let us in and show us around. All in all it was a fab weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return again.

Cheerful 4 Bedroom Cottage with Scenic Views

BrandonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Anne’s house was one of our very favorites! So warm and spacious, squeaky clean, well stocked with everything you could possibly need without being cluttered. The photos make the house look a little dark, it isn’t at all- it is light with a cozy feel and nice, comfortable furniture. We thought we could stay forever comfortably enjoying the amazing views. The house is very quiet even in a storm and although we loved seeing the sheep just outside we couldn’t hear them, so very peaceful. The beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, good flushing toilets, everything was great. Anne made us feel right at home and so welcome. She was so thoughtful and kind, we couldn’t say enough. The walk toward Mount Gable was beautiful and a wonderful recommendation. We would gladly stay here again.

We stayed at the guest house for two nights but I wish we stayed longer! It was such a peaceful little getaway especially after our long days of driving. My three year old absolutely loved checking out the vegetable garden, chickens, and sheep! We cooked dinner one night and enjoyed some wine on the deck and it was magical. HIGHLY recommend this spot.
A charming entrance is showcased, featuring colorful flower arrangements in planters. The path leads to a rustic white cottage, with a wooden door partially visible. A vehicle is parked nearby, and a grassy area extends to the side, completing the serene landscape.

Depaysant, rafraichissant. A recommander.

The Crows Nest, Crumlin Park, Ballyglunin, Galway

MatthiasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were more than satisfied with the accommodation. We were greeted by horses and the extremely sweet little dog Minnie, and then by delicious scones in the apartment. The area is beautiful and we went on several day trips to Connemara National Park, Burren National Park, the Aran Islands/Cliffs of Moher and Galway. What's more, the area was just perfect for us and the children. My daughters loved feeding the horses and playing with Minnie the dog. Or, if it rains a little, there is additional room for playing, which is equipped with some toys, table tennis, etc. Maura responded quickly to minor problems and helped us out, and was generally very accommodating. If we ever visit Ireland again, we will definitely stop by here again.

Bridgies Cottage

ClydeRating, 5 stars1 day ago
If you are planning a trip near Galway, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY! Mary is an INCREDIBLE host and made us feel like family visiting while we were there. The homemade scones and goodies were the best we had the whole trip and everything about the cottage was perfect. She has a ton of local recommendations (including tyre repair which we did end up taking advantage of after finding a rock on one of our adventures) and checked in to make sure we were ok and to find out if we needed anything. Even on checkout, she let us wait out the rain so we didn't have to load up the car wet. While the location isn't in Galway itself, it's incredibly peaceful and was a great location for day trips down to Cliffs of Moher/Kilkee Cliffs, the Aran Islands, Cong and areas north of Galway. This was a really accessible homebase for everything, with the advantage of coming home to a peaceful, thatched cottage to relax in. If you see this gem available for your stay, book it. It is PERFECT!
