The Granary at Todds House Farm

AnnaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a relaxing couple of days at the Granary over new year and it had everything we needed. The place was spotless and well equipped as well as very cosy. The farm is on a quiet road but is a short drive or 20 minute walk into Sedgefield and is convenient for Durham as well. Loved meeting the Shetland pony and Rascal the cat too!

Host & Stay | The Red Brick Barn

CharlieRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Absolutely beautiful area, very private with stunning views! Waking up to rabbits chasing each other just outside the window was lovely, let alone the friendly sheep or the birds that live there. Make sure to bring a torch as it gets very dark at night! Was thrown off by not having a tv but the log burner made up for it by creating such a comfortable and relaxed space. Left here with a very clear head and a very happy dog Massively recommend this place

Two families with dogs and children and the cottage was great! Plenty of space, big kitchen well stocked with equipment and we arrived to tea, milk and biscuits. Plenty of communication from the host and we made full use of the grounds and play room. Location was great, plenty of walks from the property and the local amenities had everything we needed. Great stay!! Thank you x

Barn conversion in idyllic setting

SarahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a fantastic stay in beautiful surroundings , there is lots to see and do nearby and we will definitely be returning , it has a walled garden which is lovely and a sun trap , Our dog did manage to jump the wall but he is very bouncy and this by no way made a difference to our stay as the garden backs on to fields and a track Graham was great and came to meet us in check in and was able to recommend things to do and contactable if we needed him

Converted Milking Barn with Hot Tub

DavidRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great location and barn. Perfect for a multi generational family get together (including a dog). The barn was exactly as described and well kitted out. The outside space is private and safe - the barbecue and hot tub are of a great standard. Excellent food at the Rose and Crown (but you must book). Plenty of places too visit....we had a great walk with two young children round High Force. Sarah is responsive and not "in your face". As good an Airbnb as we have been to for our annual clan gathering.

Book this cottage for my 60th birthday . leading up to our stay was good, the accommodation was as described, very nice we had to turn the heating down, as to warm at night. Beds all very comfortable, only down side there were no mattress protector. Aprt from that all the family 6 adults 2 young children had plenty of room, to move about without getti g in each other way.

We had a lovely weekend as a group of friends here for the bank holiday. The house had everything we needed, the outside space was gorgeous and hot tub very spacious. Elizabeth and the property manager were both very responsive and helpful - resolving an issue very quickly while we were there. Thanks for having us :)

Paddock Cottage

PenelopeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was our first Airbnb experience and we have to say that the bar has been set very high. Our host Trevor was lovely, the area beautiful and interesting, and the accommodation excellent. There were plenty of great walks within an easy drive and it wasn’t overcrowded which made it all the more pleasant. Although the accommodation is great, it is worth being aware that the stairs to the bedroom may present challenges for some people, but if you think you can manage them, you will love this property. There are different options for heating, constant hot water and the kitchen has everything you need. The four legged neighbours are also friendly, if hungry; and my guide dog very much appreciated the lovely dog bed, fleecy blanket and flashing toy! Thank you so much Trevor, it would be lovely to be able to return in the future if we can manage it.

The Barn with Hot Tub, Westgate in Weardale

ElaineRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Everything absolutely excellent in the barn, area, surroundings, hot tub and hosts. Only minor thing was the road leading up to the barn, needed to have a smoother ride to it, not suitable for small cars due to the terrain. We visited many places, beautiful, peaceful and serene. All the pubs we visited were very welcoming.
A charming stone building is featured, surrounded by lush greenery and a gravel pathway. A rustic gate leads to the entrance, while a vintage bicycle rests against the wall, adding character to the inviting exterior.

A lovely character property in beautiful quiet surroundings. It's fairly compact but had everything we needed as a couple on a short break. The milk, juice, eggs left by the host was much appreciated, a lovely touch. The bed was extremely comfortable. Local pub was fully booked for dinner so worth booking ahead, but the Fox & Hounds 2 miles away was a good find in another beautiful village, the scenery in the area is gorgeous.

The Barn Self Catering

Communication with Stephen and Heather was really good and they were very responsive. Before we arrived they told us about a local power cut (which was speedily resolved) and they maintained contact throughout by use of the telephone in the barn. It was well equipped and matched our expectations fully. The only minor downside was the lack of WiFi or any kind of mobile signal - but this did not detract from the lovely stay we had with our dog, Sam. We will definitely return!
A modern kitchen and dining area present a marble island countertop with dining chairs arranged around it. Large glass doors provide views of the outdoor seating area, allowing natural light to fill the space. Sleek cabinetry complements the contemporary design.

River Run Cottage on Tees, Barnard Castle/Dales

LorraineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a fabulous long weekend at River Run Cottage. We loved the view of the river and bird watching from the conservatory. The whole place was comfortable and really well equipped, there was nothing we wanted that we couldn’t find, they’d thought of everything. We enjoyed trips to recently newly developed Raby Castle, Low Force and High Force and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning scenery all around, wonderful to explore an area that we didn’t know at all. We were blessed with hot and sunny weather, this meant we need to manage the heat inside the house and may be a good tip for others. We closed the door between the conservatory and the house and drew all of the curtains during the day on this south facing property. When we returned after our day out the house was lovely and cool. We’d definitely recommend River Run cottage, it’s a fabulous place to stay.

Secluded Barn Conversion + Hot Tub, Lake District

HannahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Debi and Stuart’s accommodation was stunning with beautiful views to match. We felt so at home and everything was in walking distance. We were so lucky to have beautiful weather so we loved being outside in the spacious garden and enjoying the hot tub. Also special touches were made in the lodge as it was my step Dads birthday which I was truly grateful for. We will most definitely be coming back. Thanks again.
