Grandma's Little House

The house is in a quiet, little village. It’s very peaceful and perfect for a chilled get away. Hugo was very friendly and always helpful. You will definitely need a car to get there.

A real wine Quinta in Douro, the river as a border

ÉmilieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Mario is an amazing, caring, generous and warm host! The places are peaceful, excellent for unwinding and slowing down! I strongly suggest you eat with him and share his wine, everything is delicious! We're sad to have left after only 2 nights!
An archaeological site features exposed ruins with various stone structures and columns emerging from the earth. Surrounding vegetation includes several trees, contributing to the natural landscape of the area. The clear blue sky provides bright lighting, enhancing the visibility of the historical details.

Casa do Pedrão

RubenRating, 5 stars70 months ago
Pedrão's house was with all the certainty of the best places I've ever been staying, I have nothing, but even nothing to point out as negative! Spectacular and very modern house with all you need! Over the outer space... it is impossible to ask much more, an amazing view of Quinta do Mr. Rui, where you can enjoy the quiet, the clean air, that fantastic sun that only made us want to be inside the pool, which is located in an amazing area of the farm and in sunshine all day. We were received by Mr. Rui and his daughter, who I can say they treated us well! I have nothing but nothing to point out badly, by the way I have a good list of positive things I could say, but I don't want to spoil the surprise😜. I just say that I was not only a fan of the space but of Mr. Rui, friendly, hospitable, even always full of work was always concerned about our well-being, Incredible!  I just have to say thank you for all the hospitality and as it is more than obvious, I recommend the space at 200%. I will definitely come back soon.

Imaginário d'el Rei Guest House 8

ColleenRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Our stay was absolutely magical. The property overlooks the stunning Douro Valley, offering spectacular views in every direction. We loved relaxing in the hammocks, soaking in the scenery, and unwinding in the hot tub after long days of sightseeing. The landscaping was beautiful, with blooming flowers and peaceful terraces. The balcony was a favorite spot; we watched a breathtaking moonrise one evening that we’ll never forget. Nights were super quiet, interrupted only by the occasional distant church bell echoing through the valley. Filipe was a truly gracious, generous, and kind host. He made us feel right at home, as did his delightful and friendly cat, Mia. The daily breakfast was delicious, with fresh baked goods and cakes, and homemade pastéis de nata. This is more than just a stay, it’s a peaceful escape. My only regret was having to leave.
A kitchenette area is displayed, featuring a sleek stainless steel sink and a modern faucet. The cabinetry incorporates warm wood tones, complemented by neatly arranged dishes and cups on the open shelves above. A contemporary countertop extends beneath the sink, highlighting the minimalist design.

HOUSE IN THE CHESTNUT TREE

PresianRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We had a great time at the tiny house. Yes, there were 1-2 quirks, but this is expected. Every place has its quirks, but here, everything was clearly communicated by the host, which we greatly value. We came to watch the Perseid meteor shower and had a nice experience. However, the light pollution was higher than expected due to local festivities using sky laser projectors. These powerful lasers create bright beams visible from afar. The previous night, while we were at another place, was even worse with two villages using projectors, which seems to be common here. Unfortunately, this was not pleasant for us, and we hope it was just bad timing. Everything else was wonderful—the surrounding nature was serene, with lush trees and a variety of birds adding to the charm. We enjoyed breathtaking sunsets and sunrises that made our stay memorable. The host was exceptional, preparing a delicious breakfast each morning and always being kind and helpful.

Casa Jurada- Local Accommodation

AndréRating, 5 stars6 days ago
One of the best accommodations I've ever been to! Service was spotless! Mr. Nuno is very attentive, as is the rest of the family. I was only there for one day, but I felt welcomed as part of the Espedrada village family. A village with a lot of history and a lot of culture. The accommodation itself is very good and well worth it. If you have any questions about accommodation in Guarda, come to Casa Jurada. 5 Stars!

Village House

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved it here! Rosa and Joao made us feel like family. Rosa is incredibly knowledgeable of the Village and the surrounding areas. The animals are friendly, you can walk through the areas without fear. The goats, Lemon (the donkey), Boss the puppy and so much more. Rosa should be the Mayor, she knows everyone and her friendly personality makes the entire Village glow. We were introduced to all the friendly people of the Aldeia Fuinhas. Rosa shared her knowledge of the cheese making process, I have new cheese making skills. The hostess with the mostest provided good wine, tasty orange cake, plenty of good herbal teas, the garden is bright and well maintained. I had a refreshing dip in the super clean pool on a hot day. Casa da Aldeia is a magical place for all ages to enjoy the surroundings and the Animals. You can find Joao or their friendly neighbor Joaquin milking the goats twice daily. You will love to see this fresh milk production; say cheese. We will see you again Rosa & Joao
