My girlfriend and I had a great stay here. The place was cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The outdoor area was the true highlight — from the spacious patio to the beautifully maintained landscaping, the property felt peaceful and private. There’s also a pool that looked amazing, even though we couldn’t enjoy it due to the weather. We had some trouble during check-in after a delayed flight and arrived around midnight, but the property owners were just a phone call away and quickly helped us get settled, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic place to unwind.

We really enjoyed our time at Elizabeth Jane's place. The home is spacious and quaint, with nice furnishings, a tasteful colonial feel and easy access to downtown Litchfield and the Berkshires. The bucolic setting is lovely - scenic, relaxing and peaceful.

The beds were extremely comfortable - luxury hotel quality. JW Marriott or above. Master bedroom shower was amazing. Very large, with bench, high pressure (which is now lacking in many hotels). Great room was very large and plenty of seating place. Very private setting with mature trees and a brook running in back. Outside seating area with fire pit was a very nice touch. The place is very private but within half a mile of restaurants and shopping center.

Our stay could not have been better. Beautiful house, well equipped— felt like home, comfortable and peaceful. Excellent hostess— friendly, and accommodating. Highly recommended and look forward to visiting again Thank you, Caryn for your excellent accommodations and hospitality!

Very charming home, exactly as shown. We shared the home with another family for a ski weekend at mohawk (15 minute drive).. The home is so family friendly, has lots of games and even a crib/booster for the kitchen. The two living rooms with TVs are great (one for the kids and one for the adults!) Clean and well stocked in the kitchen. Paul is super responsive and was very flexible on check-in /check-out times. Highly recommend!

Abigail is an incredible host. She is super accommodating and communicative. She is the sweetest and her home is incredible. This place is definitely worth it. Beautiful space and a wonderful experience.

The hosts Marybeth and Douglas were so welcoming to us and accommodated our request to check- in earlier than scheduled! They were very friendly and provided extra stuff to make our stay feel so homely and comfortable! Everyone of us (13 people) truly enjoyed our stay at their beautiful, spacious and historical home!

This was a wonderful stay for my sons and me as we toured U Conn, just down the street. I wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed all the farm has to offer. Our hosts were lovely.

The Black Barn was just what we had hoped for. Since it hadn't been reviewed we were taking a risk staying there, but it exceeded our expectations. As an Interior Designer I am very fussy and I appreciated the attention to detail in the design of the space. The kitchen is well organized, the beds were made with nice linens and the bath was stocked with quality fresh towels. Tom is a great host, and he was quick to respond to a question we had about accessing the internet/WiFi. Just be aware that the area has spotty internet access in general. Thank you for providing us with such a special retreat. We loved our stay and look forward to returning!

I travel constantly for busy and have stayed in many Airbnbs and our stay at Sarah’s property was without a doubt our best stay ever anywhere! Beautifully contemporary, pristinely clean, everything needed plus lovely extra touches with an extremely thoughtful, friendly, professional & very responsive host all in a very peaceful surrounding. We felt so comfortable and at home that now I am looking for future business opportunities to return to Westport just so we can stay at Sarah’s lovely barn!

This home was absolutely fantastic. The location was perfect. Jackie and John are excellent hosts and provided us with everything we needed - and more! Beautifully furnished, we felt right at home. The outdoor shower was wonderful as were the availability of bikes which we took to the beach. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely book this home again.

The place is beautiful and felt like home as soon as we walked in. It’s a gorgeous old home, updated where it’s needed (central heat/AC, high efficiency hot water tank, etc.), big bedrooms, but still has an old farmhouse feel, tastefully decorated but not fussy. Really comfortable and we’ll set up for two families with a feeling of privacy for each. Beautiful surroundings abutting a farm (who gave us fresh cut flowers) and with a perfect pool and spa. We stayed for a summer month, wish it could have been longer, and we would happily do it again. Thomas was very gracious and responsive throughout. Great place.

We stayed at the Country Garden apartment for a wedding in Litchfield. The location was great for access to town and just what we needed. Steve was responsive and helpful with questions about the property. We would stay here again if we were in the area

This home was perfect for what we needed which was something close to where our son was getting married in Derby this past weekend! The Red Barn made for a perfect back drop. The home itself was very comfortable, charming and neat. Cozette was very responsive with any questions or concerns we had. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!

This was our second time staying here and looking forward to our next! Such a peaceful location. We really enjoyed seeing the frogs by the pond and all the birds about. We even caught a glimpse of a bald eagle! Location is fantastic- we were able to walk to the beach, and a short drive the Hammonasset State Park and Meigs Nature Center. Thanks Peggy and Jim!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful weekend stay at such cozy bnb. We really appreciate the small touches and well thought out space. The location is perfect if you’re looking for privacy, close to hikes/nature, within minutes from small towns with great attractions and restaurants and even beautiful vineyards and tasty breweries. Highly recommend.

Leslie and her husband were the best hosts one could ask for. I was in town on a work trip and they were very flexible and accommodating to my schedule which made my days in the area much more enjoyable. They were gracious, giving and kind hosts and would 10000% recommend them. I will definitely be back in the future to stay longer!

Hayden kindly responded quickly as we needed a place beginning the following day. His home is beautiful, high ceilings and an innovative design. The Internet was good, which was important since both of us were working remotely. I was pleasantly surprised by the great restaurants and beautiful walks in the area. The living area has comfy couches on which to relax or read a book. I highly recommend this house for a great escape.

My family had a great long weekend at Michael’s house. The house had such a cool vibe with a great yard. Perfect for our kids and dog who loved playing in the snow. I would imagine the pool would be amazing in the warmer months. Michael was very responsive and even coordinated the driveway to be plowed after a big snow storm. Lots of good local restaurant's but it was also nice to stay in and cook in the kitchen. About 25 minutes to Mohawk mtn if you’re looking to ski. Would definitely recommend!!
