This is an older home with one apartment on the first floor and a vacant apartment upstairs. Guests have the entire property to themselves. Free off-street parking. There is a small park across the street and a larger city park one block away w/carousel, pool, tennis courts, ice rink (all seasonal), amazing playground and walking paths. Our place is comfortable and is your home for the time you are here. Complete house with lake access from the yard, kayaks, canoe, paddle boats, row boat and more. My wife and I were in town to check out potential summer homes in the Poconos and needed a place to stay. This house was a great fit. It is in a super private location in the woods with a small path that leads to a nice pond. Most peaceful place I've ever been at. Our host, Heidi was great at communicating and proactive with recommendations for things to do in Montrose including restaurant suggestions. Highly recommend.

The cabin was a great getaway for our family (dog and 5 year old included). It was exactly as described and the perfect place to unwind and get away from the busy world. Before we checked in Thomas and Shelly reached out and told us of an issue with the cabin that wouldn’t be able to be fixed before our vacation.(we had no issues with it while we were there) They were open and upfront with it and gave us the option of continuing our stay. It wasn’t a big deal to us but we were happy to have the information. We had rain in the forecast and Shelly made sure our 5 year old had plenty of activities to do inside so we didn’t have to worry about entering him. It was muddy due to the rain and they made sure we had extra towels for our dog. They went above and beyond to accommodate us with all we needed. Highly recommended staying and enjoying the cabin.
