Family-friendly vacation rentals in Comox Valley

Wendy's place was awesome! My family had a great time staying here for a week in late March, and found the place to be very comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. It was really nice to have a fully-stocked kitchen - even niche items like a cake mixer and vegetable steamer were available (indeed - baking cakes and steaming broccoli are both things we are known to do while on holiday 🙂). My kids also loved playing with the cool toys in the treasure chest in the main room, and picking out new books to read as bedtime stories from the shelves in their room upstairs. I would highly recommend this as a great accommodation for families on a Vancouver Island holiday.

It is an excellent option for your stay at Mt. Washington! We stayed during spring break, and the pool right across from the unit wasn't busy. The kids had a great time. Thanks, Barb!

Wow, what a way to spend a solo birthday week with my dog, so peaceful and serine. The cabin is located within a huge network of hiking trails and very close to many amazing nature parks, walking gardens and beautiful beaches. The cabin has a beautiful outdoor tub that made every morning extra special to wake up with nature. The cabin has everything you could need away from home and then some. A well hearted thank you to Nao, Tal their sweet little girl and friendly dogs for sharing their beautiful farm.

Great location . Excellent communication with host. Met our family's needs . Grandchildren enjoyed bunk beds. Kitchen well equipped .

It was a joy to spend 3 nights at Hearts Delight! The chalet is adorable and the perfect size, with two adults and a small/medium dog, there was plenty of space and the kitchenette was perfect. Leah was a fantastic host with quick responses and easy communication especially as we arrived late on the first night! It was a gorgeous area and we will be happily returning in the future!

Our family loved our stay here. Leah is the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. The cabin’s location was perfect for us, close enough to family gatherings in Courtenay but in such a serene place we could unwind in the evenings and enjoy walks surrounded by huge cedars to the beach for the beautiful sunsets. Very dog friendly and we just adored meeting Timber and loving on her too. It was so perfect!

This is a fantastic quaint little beach cottage to enjoy the island's natural beauty. Easy access to fun on the water. The family really enjoyed the lawn sports items the hosts provided. Thank you!

Great for a big group (we were 10 adults), with a super location. A big dining room table, lots of cutlery and china, so we could share meals together. We slept well and beds cozy. Lots of work has been done in the garden to make it pleasant for visitors. Clean especially for a log home. Keep in mind there's only one shower so... lots of nooks and The foot massage and back massage equipment was appreciated. Be sure to look at the photos so you know how the place is finished and what the furniture is like, etc. We really enjoyed the games room and the games. Complete hit. Some of the basketball people got a bit competitive! Property is perfect for families and those that want to spend quality time together.

Lovely, peaceful stay on a quiet road near all that Hornby Island has to offer. Sabina was so kind and thoughtful - always offering us tips for where to go, what to see. We spent a lot of time at the beaches or in the garden just listening to the birds. Such a great stay!

Great place for a group. We were attending a wedding in Campbell River and it was perfect! Comfortable rooms and beds for everyone to stay, two bathrooms to get ready, great views of the water and a really comfy couch and fireplace setup for a cozy night in with board games. Highly recommend!

Me and MY girls had such a great time. We walked, hiked, chilled and laughed..........just what we needed.

We had great time staying at Taren's place. The place was spacious and well thought out and felt bigger than the pictures made it look. Plenty to entertain the kids with - games, toys, Wii, DVDs. Taren was quick to respond to questions. The place was initially tricky to locate but only because we weren't familiar with the area. We recommend using the village transportation to help with gear and then you get to enjoy the nice walk to the property. The ambience of no cars, foot traffic only is really unique and peaceful!

Amazing, beautiful, clean, well stocked, quiet, peaceful, relaxed... I expect to return. Based on the description, photos, and satellite maps, I was surprised that the cabin was so close to the main house. That said, at no point did I feel like anyone else was there. Still felt very private and secluded, and Janet was very respectful and gave us our space. Very comfortable and exactly what I needed. Thank you Janet!

We had a great family mini getaway. Condo was spacious, great location and would book again.

We had a great stay at this place. We particularly loved the veranda, the huge garden at the front and back of the house. The place is as shown in photos. A small suggestion, to have a booklet/manual on the dos and donts in the house to navigate us around. E.g. what to recycle

We had a lovely stay at Liz’s cabin close to the beach. It was wonderful to get away for a weekend with hiking/cycling as well as enjoyed the quietness and calm nature Hornby has to offer. Liz was an excellent host and would love to return someday.

We stayed at Melanie and Paul's suite for 4 weeks with our dog for a work trip. The space was gorgeous, quiet, and well-stocked with amenities. The fully-fenced yard was tranquil with a lovely garden. Melanie and Paul were kind, responsive and friendly hosts. We (especially our dog) loved how close this place was to trails and beaches, while also being a short 5-minute drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Bike commuting to the Comox hospital was straightforward from this location. Overall a fantastic place with awesome hosts.

Had a great stay! Everything about the place from cleanliness to the beautiful view was amazing. The bed was comfy and the place is perfect for two people. Tanya was always responsive when we had any questions. We saw sea lions one night too! Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a cozy spot with views. Will definitly be back!

Patrick was very welcoming. Upon arrival gave us a quick run down. The property was behind beautiful and we can’t wait to return. Patrick let us know if activities happening and let us have a couple hour later to check out.

Fab spot! Quiet neighbourhood, but not walking distance to downtown. There’s a great coffee shop down the street called Serious Coffee. Very clean and very responsive to questions. Thanks for a great space!
