Amazing stay in this little slice of paradise, just steps from the beach and entrance to the national park. We were hosted very well and accompanied throughout our stay by Harold the Nicaraguan who takes care of the premises. He does a great job, he took a lot of time to talk with us and showed us plenty of animals in the garden (lazy, monkeys etc.)

What a location! Tortuguero is unique and Carmen (host), Angelo (Carmen’s husband and guide) and Hector (recommended guide with Angelo) helped shape our wonderful experience there. Accommodation perfectly located in quiet and brand new location 4 minutes walk outside the town, with a terrace overlooking the Caribbean. Although tour offers are plentiful in tortuguero , we would highly recommend choosing Angelo and Hector. With them, we went on a night time walk, early morning boat tour and day hike in national park. In this way, Instead of doing tours in large groups, we were just myself and wife, and got more a much more personalised trip. Seeing an incredible variety of animals and plants, going deeper into the canals than other boat trips, I’ve not felt this connected to nature in years. Would highly recommend this magical experience.

If I could give David’s stay 1,000 stars, I absolutely would. He is truly an exceptional host, and his Airbnb is something incredibly special. Built by David and his father, the space is a true masterpiece — every single detail has been thoughtfully and beautifully crafted. David is unbelievably kind and welcoming. I highly recommend opting in for breakfast — it was one of the most memorable parts of our stay. Everything was so fresh and delicious, and you can genuinely feel how much David cares about making your experience perfect. This was the first stop on our 10-day trip, and I’m so grateful we began our adventure here. David gave us such a warm and heartfelt welcome to Costa Rica — it set the tone for everything that followed. Truly unforgettable. thank you so much David, we can’t wait to be back.

Vicky is an amazing host! Super friendly and resourceful. Her recommendations were excellent. We opted to go with Sambola Tours as she recommended them and it was worth every penny. Perfect stay for our 2 nights in Tortuguero for my boyfriend and I. We had 2 days full of activities. Vicky's place had super comfortable bed to rest after all of our tours. The room cool down super fast once we turned the AC on but it stayed pretty cool with the curtains closed. Hot water for showers is available. Close to everything: beach, harbour, and national park. Located mid town. 1 block to and from the boat taxis. This place is great for people traveling light. We each had 1 large suitcase and had just enough room but it might be a tight space for someone with more luggage or more than 2 adults. Great value and location!

Nehle’s hostel was amazing! Great location. Lovely private room. Room was perfect and clean. Comfy beds and the place feels homely and cosy. Nehle was friendly and so helpful. Has some very friendly pets. We would stay again and recommend the hostel!

I definitely recommend to everyone going to Tortuguero to stay with Kiroysha and his partner! I don't have a single complaint. On the contrary, it exceeded my expectations in every way. I thought the apartment was better in reality than in the photos and description. Cleaning is 11/10. It has just what you need for cooking, and the electric stove works well. They provide you with a coffee maker and coffee. Also shampoo, soap, and towels. They were also super attentive at all times and willing to help.

Wonderful place, better than the pictures! The boat drops us off and picks us up right outside. Very clean, good bedding, everything is easy and perfect!
