Vanderkloof is a remote and relaxing holiday destination or stopover en route to your final destination. It is two hour drive from Bloem or a mere six hour drive from Joburg. It’s on South Africa’s second largest dam sporting some of the best fly fishing in the country. This self-catering holiday home offering exclusivity and privacy has a large patio with built in braai and fire pit with the view of the dam, which is a great way to unwind especially in the late afternoon as the sun goes down.

The farm house offers 4 comfortably furnished bedrooms that can sleep 14 people. The first room is air-conditioned and furnished with a double bed, 3 single beds and has a baby cot. Rooms 2 and 3 are furnished with 2 single beds, and the fourth room contains a double and 3 single beds, and also has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath.

Hosting the largest dam in the country, the town makes for an interesting halfway stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town / Port Elizabeth. Puzzles is situated on the edge of the “koppie” and is focused primarily on the overnight traveller. Each unit contains two 3-quarter beds, and a good quality double sleeper couch. Guests have their own entrance. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Locked parking is provided behind palisade gates.
