This unique place has a style all its own. Apart of a larger mixed use building complex this old schoolhouse has been converted into residential apartments. In 1877, African-American local architect/brick manufacturer Plimpton Ross Berry built the building. The building served as a city school for 65 years before being sold to the Hungarian Presbyterian Chuch that operated it as a recreational center until 2008.
