Our home,a working sheep farm is nestled below Ireland's highest mountains on the famous Kerry Way trail in the heart of the McGillyCuddy Reeks.The original buildings date back to 1802 and were some of the last in Ireland to receive electricity due to their remote location in one of Ireland’s most unspoiled valleys on the edge of the Killarney National Park.While the towns of Kenmare & Killarney are an hour’s drive away,the Cottage is suited to those who are keen to truly get away from it all...

Alder House Studio(8 kms from Killarney)

Our one bedroom studio apartment with separate kitchenette & shower room is located in a picturesque part of Ireland. Beaufort village is only a 12 min walk from our studio which has public houses and a restaurants.l The studio is located on the Ring of Kerry route and is a 10 min drive away from Killarney & Killorglin. Kerry Airport is a short spin away (20mins) and there are fabulous golf courses & beaches located nearby. Our Labrador dog named Booker will be on site to greet you on arrival !

This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

The Beara Bus....with Awesome Views

The Beara Bus is a unique living space situated on the coastline with stunning views across the Atlantic to the Sheeps Head and Mizen Head Peninsulas and Bere Island. The entrance to the harbour of Castletownbere ( Irelands second largest fishing port) can be seen with the daily coming and goings of the fishing fleet. In the waters below the Bus basking shark, minke whale and dolphins are frequent visitors. The sun rising up over Sheeps Head Peninsula can make for an unforgettable breakfast !
