Located near the end of a quiet dead end road in Welches, Oregon. Short path to Sandy River. Easy access to HWY 26 and only 15 minutes to Government Camp or Sandy Ridge mountain biking. Enjoy the relaxing surroundings while staying in a newly renovated cabin with all the comforts of home. 2 night min. stay seasonally/Fri/Sat but possibly accept a 1 night stay...just ask. Venture across the deck and have your coffee on a big rock by the river. Play on Mt. Hood, explore the shops in town, or just watch the Sandy roll by from the cozy sofa. Relax in the hot tub overlooking the river. Sit by the fireplace with your pup. Start a movie on the projector in the bunk room. Wake up to the river view from the king size bed upstairs or downstairs sunroom. Repeat. Just under an hour from Portland, 35 mins to Timberline, 10 mins to Mt Hood National Forest.

Forest island

Glamping at its finest !!!!!! Come enjoy our Private forest island retreat on our 22 acre working farm . Relax and take in the fresh air without the hassle of having to pack up all your camping equipment. The spacious yurt can accommodate up to 4 people with a queen size bed and a 2 person pull out cot. This private yurt is on a island on our land surrounded by the water and trees. We also have kayak for rental upon request to use at the surrounding lakes and river.

The Hideout | A Modern Tiny Cabin Near Mt. Hood

The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.

With unique vintage decor, this comfortable studio offers modern amenities in a peaceful country setting. The space has a private keypad entrance & 16 stairs (sorry, no elevator) to the guest studio attached to our home. Our friendly golden retriever Ollie will gladly greet you. Groceries & highway access are a mere 3 miles away. Portland is a short easy drive from our quiet country home.
