Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Cheboygan County

We had a wonderful time! Kathleen was extremely helpful and quick at getting back with us. She had everything you needed to make you feel right at home. We had a great time on the pontoon and enjoying the great outdoor space here too. And pet friendly, our pups loved it!!

We had an amazing stay at this house. It was a great location. We went to Mackinac Island for the day and it was a quick 20 minute drive to the city to hop on a ferry to the island. We would stay here again!

This place is amazing! Truly peaceful setting. It was perfect sitting in the hot tub and listening to the waves from the lake. The sauna was hot and easy to use. It's a short walk down to the lake and the view is breath taking. The house had everything we needed. The downstairs bed was very comfortable and nice linens. Kelly recommended several local restaurants that were good. We also went to Michael's Steakhouse in Indian River and the food there was amazing! Kelly was a great resource and helped make our trip perfect! We will definitely stay here again.

Another wonderful stay at this home! My family and I had a wonderful time with plenty of room and everything we needed. Freshwater hosts were very accommodating and responded quickly to questions we had. I hope to stay here again one day and would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Lovely stay at Denise’s cottage!

This was my second stay and it surpassed the first! Kellyann is a gracious hostess, the cottage is super clean and homey! I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the Mullet or Burt Lake area, regardless of the season.

It’s a beautiful quiet place, lots do inside. My family loved the selection of games. Our WiFi went out at one point and the host was quick to come and fix it! Will definitely keep this place in mind if we come here again

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. It was a beautiful and peaceful spot! Ed was very helpful and kind. He helped point out hiking and restaurant locations for us to visit. They also provided a lot of items for us. I would recommend coming back again!

Loved the place, it was comfortable, cozy, quiet, and convenient. Perfect for what we needed being just the two of us. Internet and TV worked great. Very nicely updated cabin feel and the fireplace is a nice touch. Would recommend and definitely would stay again when in the area!

Stephanie was a thoughtful host, easy to communicate and quick to respond. The apartment was equipped with everything you'd need and was so warm and cozy from the comfortable beds to the 'Franklin stove' gas heater. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The street was quiet and the grounds were lovely. It turned out that we had a personal connection to Stephanie and her husband which made our stay all the more amiable. I highly recommend staying at "Down the way from Duncan Bay'!

Perfect for what my family was needing and most definitely nice and clean! Would most definitely recommend to friends and family.

The place was the perfect location for what we were looking for. We enjoy Indian River, and we like to be able to walk in town. I am not complaining but to be fair with a review I should mention the bed is a Murphy bed and it squeaks when you move in the night. The unit is attached to the house, and it is not very soundproof between the main house and the rental unit however everything was quiet by 11:00 pm. If I stay in Indian River again, I will stay at Amanda's place again.

My family loved it and want to return for future trips up north. It was so cute and loved all the details related to trains while also being modern in the rental. Location was great being 30 minutes from Macinac and Petoskey for more touristy things but perfectly placed near nature for outdoors adventures as well (park across the street, trails, near a river). Also can't beat the ice cream place next door for the kids!

5 star out of 5 is not even close!!!! 10 out of 5 would be more accurate. You will not find a cleaner, more well- planned/ use of space, and friendlier hosts. Joanne and Tim went so far above and beyond with so many thoughtful, personal touches. From the fresh baked bread, custom selected wine, painted rock, and hand written thank you card, and it does not stop there. Plain and simple, if you are reading this review, book it now before it's too late, because I will never stay anywhere else if I am in the area. To all other airbnb hosts, these two have set the bar. Good luck even coming close.
