Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

After more than two years of family work, we are able to offer you our villa. We put our heart into its realization, we wanted it to be welcoming, functional and simple. Built in a quiet area facing the Cirque des Gens, close to the greenway connecting Vogué to Grospierres. The Villa has a garage, in which you can also store canoes, bicycles, etc., as well as a cellar.

This classified site is an ideal place to go canoeing, hiking or swimming in the Ardèche River, everything is within walking distance from the house! For climbing enthusiasts, it is also one of the largest climbing sites in Ardèche, the winter spot par excellence, season from October to May.
