The Chez Heron was built in 1872 out of local limestone and was made to resemble a small Gothic castle. It is nationally registered as a historical structure. It is set up for 1 couple looking for a peaceful getaway. Full kitchen. We will have a bottle of champagne chilling for you and with a 2 night minimum you will receive a $25 gift certificate to use at your leisure at The Blue Heron Restaurant located right next door. Dante's Den is a great spot for people who enjoy the outdoors and like to be active. Great cycling routes, walking trails, public boat launches, beaches and parks are near by. Alexandria Bay, Cape Vincent, Clayton, and Watertown are also close.

The views are surreal! With over a 200 degree view, sitting on the couch seems like sitting over the top of the water. Located on a small protected bay, also home to two yacht clubs, you'll see boaters of all kinds. The fishing is fabulous right from the dock. Located on a quiet private road, you'll be walking distance a from restaurants, an ice cream shop, shopping, banking, the local library, and even a small winery! There is deep water dockage if you plan to bring a boat.

Simple elegant space that can comfortably accommodate five adults. Two bedrooms one with a king bed and other with a twin size day bed with trundle twin bed slide in , and large deep couch. Each room has a TV. This unit is in the second floor, with a parking area for two cars, washer, dryer and 70" tv in living room. This place was beautifull! In a great, quiet and peaceful location. Would highly recommend and definitely come back for another stay! Lauren was super nice, responsive and clearly takes pride in hosting!

Beautiful area, incredibly clean, and air conditioners in every major area of the unit. Very cosy, nice beds, bedding, and pillows. Out of the way from the noise of the city, but close enough to where a 10 minute drive can get you anywhere you want to go in town. Definitely worth it, especially for the price.

This place was so serene and quiet, we hadn’t realized it was the campground but honestly we couldn’t even tell. Everyone was quiet, we spent a bunch of time at the water across the little road. If you are someone like us - that likes a clean uncomplicated place to relax and be able to come and go at your leisure to explore the surrounding area - this is great! Loved being able to lay in the bed and look at the water or sit on the couch and do the same. Any questions I had were answered quickly. The entire thing from booking to leaving was effortless and stress free. We could drive from there basically anywhere we wanted to see pretty easily. We will definitely go back there!

Heron’s House on Chaumont Bay

The view of the bay was stunning! We loved the little fire pit outside. The little town was quiet and the house itself was beautiful and clean. Since we were there in April, we used the wood stove every night just for ambiance. The house was very comfortable. Had a few questions about the door lock, but the manager went above and beyond with responsiveness and friendliness. Great place to stay!
