Accessible 2-Story Villa in Quiet Kefalonia Village

"Katoi", the lower floor of the house, as it was called in the old days. in Eptanisos, the place in the house supplies, wine, oil, wheat etc., were usually stocked, but also the favorite place for children to play. Dark and cool, with a characteristic scent that increases your appetite, that special mystic atmosphere. This 2-story villa is built in a quite village of Kefalonia with a panoramic view of the Agia Kyriaki and Myrtos bays.The villa’s exclusivity aims to ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay for all guests, having been designed to assure accessibility to people with mobility difficulties and/or reduced mobility approved and certified by TUV. The villa was constructed with absolute respect to the natural beauty of the landscape and incorporated to the environment. Stepping through the wooden door of the entrance, a comfortable ramp with the minimum slope (adjusted to the needs of people using wheelchair) leads to the pool level at the entrance of the house. The pool with the wooden sitting arrangement invites guests to enjoy the sea view and relax under the clear blue sky. From the first moment when approaching this beautiful house, it is apparent that it has been designed so that everyone is able to enjoy their vacation without barriers. From the main entrance to the comfy and bright sitting room, the large openings make you feel that the outside and the inside of the house merge into one! This last happens also to the two master bedrooms which are on the same level. The first large bedroom has two single beds and its own bathroom illuminated with light entering from the ceiling, which has been specifically designed, meeting all specifications, equipped to be accessible for people with reduced mobility. Rock is the main building material in the decoration of this superb and comfortable bedroom which also has a view to the pool and the sea. The second bedroom also has its own bathroom, a large double bed and a view to the pool and the yard. The romantic decor with earthy colors and materials creates a relaxation feeling to the visitor. An internal window lets the daylight inside the bathroom. In the living room, the corner-shaped couch can be used as an extra sleeping space for two people. At the same level, there is also a kitchenette, a washing machine and an elevator leading at the 2nd level of the house. An impressive staircase leads from the living room to the 2nd floor of the house. Reaching the 2nd level, there are two choices to enjoy the lovely view towards Myrtos Bay: either from the large porch with the pergola, the BBQ with the built seating or from inside the impressive dining room area. The monastery-style dining table in the middle of the room catches the visitor’s eye away from the magnificent sea view. At the same area, there is a large kitchen totally adapted to the needs of people of reduced mobility. A garden full of beautiful flowers next to the kitchen completes the setting. At this level there is an extra bathroom. The elevator, the covered parking space leading at the entrance level of the house as well as the design in total in addition to the villa's equipment, allows everyone to enjoy their vacation comfortably, without obstacles! With two independent bedrooms, extra sleeping space and the highest standards of comfort and hospitality, the house can accommodate up to 7 persons. ARRIVAL BOAT Departure from Patra. Alternative arrival port of Argostoli (20 km from Agkona). The trip lasts 3 hours. AIRPLANE There are several flighs to Kefalonia from Eleftherios Venizellos airport everyday. Ask us for everything! Bathe on blue-flag beaches nearby, including several that have accessibility features. Visit ancient sites, such as the Mycenaean cemetery at Mazarakata, Skala Temple, and Fiskardo Roman Cemetery, then dine at a wide choice of nearby tavernas. Villa KATOI has two parcking Accessibility on the island.
