John & Sherri were very responsive when i had any questions, and are just down to earth people.

This is a great place to stay. It is just as described. We would definitely stay here again.

Words can't describe this stay. Bring right on the river, kayaking, swimming, the sheep/donkey/goats and the fire pit were just what we needed to unwind and detach from city life. Incredible stay, and we will definitely be back.

Where to begin? Our stay at the Red Barn was everything I’ve always missed from hotels. It was comfy and cozy, and I felt safe and at home. Everything was exactly as described, and there were so many things there that I usually don’t get in rentals such as a nicely stocked fridge and coffee section, plates and cutlery, etc. While we never made eggs while there, it was nice to know that we could help ourselves to fresh eggs from the chicken coop. My husband and I go to Boerne once a year now that his parents live there, and I can definitely see us booking this place again!

My daughter and I booked Larry’s quaint cabin for a mother/daughter writing retreat. We absolutely loved the quiet country setting! The cabin was just as described and was very clean and well maintained. It is small, as seen in the photos, but very efficient in its layout and just right for two. The ranch house and buildings close by were obviously well loved and cared for. Gorgeous oak trees and open fields presented beautiful views and plenty of room for the wandering cattle and deer. We felt very safe on this large ranch with its security fences and gate. The owners were close by, friendly and available but very respectful of our privacy. We had a “low tire pressure light” on when we arrived, and Larry was kind enough to check our tire pressure for us. (We did not have a gauge with us) This was very reassuring for us. Screened in porch was great and better than photos. So you know this is real, here’s a negative: porch, steps and screen door are rough wood so beware of splinters! ;)

Rebecca is a lovely host was responded quickly from my initial inquiry to follow up questions. Check in was easy and the space was cozy, clean, peaceful, and my favorite part was getting to feed the cows. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning for a visit.

Sandi is extremely friendly and attentive. This was our 4th year staying here and we plan on coming back for many more years to come. We are always treated like family and love all the many parts of her place. I can’t wait to visit it again.

This stay was fantastic. The quiet, beautiful and spacious getaway cabin was exactly what we needed to get away from the craziness of today. Driving up to the cabin and being greeted by the massive bull and a heard of donkeys made our day. Having time away from technology and others made this for a very much needed peaceful vacation. Would absolutely come back. Thank you!!

This place was amazing! We had such a great time. Our favorite thing about this place was that it was secluded from everything but we were still 10 minutes from Main Street. We will definitely be back.

House was beautiful! Only “complaint” is for those sensitive to the light: there are no black out curtains provided. It’s worse in the front room because the flood/spot light by the garage is motion activated and turns on every five seconds, shining right into the room. Other than that: everything was amazing

This place was a surprise! Only regret is that my stay was too short, as I could have sat on the beautiful porch watching the farm animals for days and enjoying the comfortable surroundings. Will definitely make this my spot next time I’m in Lampasas! The efforts made for the guests comforts were everywhere inside and out. Loved it.

Super cute, great space! Comfortable beds and sweet touch with bedside chocolates 😊. Coffee set up and ready to go. Good driveway and the walkway lights were a nice touch. Had to leave early morning to go fishing, but would have loved to explore the farm. Would definitely book again!

This is our 2nd time to stay at PJ’s Hideaway, and it was another great experience! Patti’s place is very clean, well stocked, and spacious. We love the layout of the cabin and the outdoor porch. The property is peaceful, private, beautiful, and perfect for bird watching and relaxing. We enjoyed the short drive to Garner State Park. The hosts are kind and helpful. This is one of our favorite airbnbs. Thank you so much for hosting us again!!

Was the best Airbnb I had stayed at. Very personal, always communicating with you. Jake checks up on you to make sure your needs and wants are met! My family loved feeding the chickens and the horses every morning and evening. If you are looking for a getaway, and a great host you have your spot right here. Thanks for everything Jake! Loved our stay with Heidi & Ottis, they are the sweetest most genuine people and their place is super pretty and cozy. With everything from the warm welcome, to flexibility with check in/check out, excellent communication, and amazing hospitality including as many fresh eggs as you’d like, excellent coffee and snack selections, clean and well stocked apartment. It was everything we expected and hoped for based on the description and is why we booked our stay there. This place had everything we needed while we were in town getting work done on our camper, and we very much enjoyed the break from our camper. Also very much enjoyed the adorable farm animals, a baby lamb was born while we were there and it was the cutest thing we’ve ever seen! Would definitely stay here again if and when we need to return to the area.

I have never been able to stay at such a beautiful, enchanting accommodation at such a great price point! The entire property is like stepping into a dream and the villa itself is unreal. The pool, hot tub, outdoor shower, and greenery are incredible! Check in and out are easy and their welcome binder makes every villa process easy to figure out. Barbara is such a kind, phenomenal host who I cannot say enough good things about! The property manager is wonderful as well. They are absolutely the heart of this place! It is so clear that this is a labor of love and I am so grateful for having the chance to have spent just over a week here. There is even a book with local recommendations for guests! I highly recommend this villa for any person or group and am already looking at return possibilities to see how soon my best friend and I are able to come back. We had the best trip of our lives!

This is one of our favorite vacation spots! The perfect family getaway location; close enough to do everything in New Braunfels and San Antonio, but far enough away to enjoy the Texas Hill Country without all the hustle and bustle around you! Already looking forward to our next stay!

This is a 6 acre farm located in an equestrian community, there are 3 horses, 2 ponies, goats, sheep, ducks, chicken, parrots and plenty of other birds. The hosts will take you around the animals and explain how the whole farm came about as a second chance for the animals. There is a pool on the property for you to enjoy and we also took a ride on the Polaris. My son enjoyed spending time with Wyatt (9yrs old) who took him fishing on a nearby dock and took him around the pool, trampoline and played with water guns. Both Bastrop and Austin are 25mn away so the location is flexible to enjoy both towns while being on a farm.

The river is beautiful! Can spend all day walking down it and watching the fish and large variety of birds! A really great spot for skipping rocks and just enjoying nature!

This was our second stay in a month. To say we love this place is an understatement. It's so quiet, private and peaceful. We enjoyed a night of thunderstorms from the endless views out of the second story bedroom windows. It was stunning! Put together a different puzzle, read a novel, a short story, and started a non-fiction work, more time in the hot tub... I learned three more chords on the piano, studied the sound of the winds rustling through the grasses in the field, and the rays of light playing through the trees. We will definitely return. I'm still hoping for a clear night so I can use the telescope!

My friend and I stayed at Patricia’s place for one night. We were really impressed by the cabin as soon as we pulled up. It was super comfortable and cozy. The back porch was a great place to have meals and enjoy the pond in the back and listen to the birds. I would absolutely stay here again.
