Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Central Greece

We had a fantastic stay, we booked last minute but our host was extremely accommodating and communicative. He arranged someone to meet us and get us checked in and out so the process went smoothly. There was plenty of sleeping space but the common area felt spacious as well. The views are absolutely beautiful. The surrounding city is very walkable. We very much so enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at Eleni’s beautiful Greek house was nothing short of magical. One of the highlights was her generosity in supplying fresh vegetables, eggs & olive oil all from her property. We were treated to several delicious authentic local dishes which reflected the region’s rich culinary traditions, and you could taste the freshness in every bite. The house itself was a stunning example of authentic Greek architecture, with charming details that gave it a unique character. The view was breathtaking—panoramic scenes of the sparkling sea and distant islands. Whether enjoying a meal on the terrace or relaxing with a glass of wine, the landscape made every moment special. This stay was more than just a vacation; it felt like an immersion into Greek culture, thanks to the host’s warmth and hospitality. We had a great time at Aristo’s. House was lovely and everything was as described. We really enjoyed the fireplace which gave the house such a cozy vibe. Nice and private and peaceful. Host was very responsive and friendly. We only regret not using the hot tub!!

Great location, very responsive and accommodating host. They'll take you to the airport as finding a Uber is not easy there! They even offered to drive us to Schinias beach because one of the bikes had a flat. It was actually close enough for a nice walk on the beach to get back to the place, with just a few rocks at the end. Restaurants around are delicious. 100% recommended.

Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Athens. It was within walking distance of most attractions but also close to the underground too! The apartment was beautiful, clean and exactly as the photos shown. We had a lovely stay here and would 100% stay again!

This was a lovely place in a beautiful setting, very close to Delphi, which is what we came to see. The apartment has lovely family antiques and was very pretty. The town of Arachova is an easy 10 min walk. Our host was responsive, she came out to meet us as we drove up to show us where to park in back of the building. She had milk and juice and homemade jams in the fridge for us and baked an amazing breakfast with orange cake, fresh bread and savory pastries. We would highly recommend staying here!

Location, location, location. 1/2 block from the main square. It’s very busy but you can walk to everything. View from balcony of the Acropolis is from the side but it’s still great. We walked in different directions every day. Many, many restaurants, taverns everywhere. Check out the rooftop restaurant right on the corner. You enter the elevators right near the subway. Worth the stop. If you’re up to it, walk a number of blocks away from the main tourist areas or grab the subway (right next door)to find restaurants with better bang for the buck. We took the subway out when we left, super easy to do even with luggage and straight to the airport. The host was very helpful and very responsive.

Clean and neat place. Staircase was a challenge due to the staircase narrowing when getting to the top floor. No lift so my husband had to help with everyone bags. Grocery store right across the road which is handy and a 10 - 15 minute walk to the hop-on hop off bus.

Amazing cosy spot with wonderful bathroom and stone interior, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Lovely terrace and in the heart of enchanting Arachova. We were able to park nearby (4 min walk) upon the advice of Ariadni where there was always space. Thank you!

Eleni’s place was wonderful, her mother met us at check in and was incredibly friendly and kind. There was fresh bread and groceries waiting for us. The house was beautiful and very well located. I would gladly stay here again!

Aggeliki by far is the best host out of all the people I have rented from on Airbnb. She is very friendly, very helpful, always keen to help. Place was amazing and she is very responsive. She also like to recommend restaurants, places to visit, etc… I was also travelling to Naxos and she was already proactive with providing me with her favourite restaurants and beaches there. Her place is also very cosy, has a great atmosphere I believe that’s because it is their own house in which the rent every now and then. In short, great host that gives me even extra motivation to come to Athens!

Kyriakos is an amazing host! He came as we we were getting settled and introduced himself to every single member of our group of 10. This 6 bedroom home is beautiful and very spacious with breathtaking views, a swimming pool, and an open floor plan on the lower level with a gorgeous kitchen. Bonus, there is an elevator and we had 3 people in our group over 70 who truly enjoyed using it to get to the 3rd level where the bedrooms are (honestly everyone's used it). Kyriakos assisted me with a transportation company that could accommodate our group size (two vans) & were always on time & very professional. He had food menus and suggestions available for our use and there is a grocery store that is about a 15 min walk or a 5 mins drive. Its about 30-35 mins outside Athens city center & you'll peace & privacy on these beautiful, well maintained grounds. This was our favorite property of the 3 we had during our 2 week stay in Greece. I've been to my shares of Airbnb through my travels, and this is by far, the best experience I've had. Dimitris and Frosso are exceptional hosts. Made sure we had supplies upon arrival, and are exceptional at communicating. Dimitris gave fantastic local recommendations, provided insightful tips, and even helped arranged my 50th birthday dinner on a holiday when most restaurants were closed. We ended up hanging out with them every morning and had incredibly interesting chats. Wished we got to stay longer and hope to be back again in the future!

This place was absolutely beautiful. There was so much space and a very beautiful outdoor area. I wish we could have spent more time here, so we will definitely come back. The surrounding area is filled with of natural beauty. We woke up in the morning to views of the mountains, the sea was about a 10 minute walk away. Pantelis was a fantastic host and couldn’t be more accommodating. He is full of knowledge about the local area and ensured that our stay went as smoothly as possible.

The property was far better than what we anticipated. The rooms were beautifully decorated and pristine with a great ambience. The property contained everything that we could have possibly wanted for our stay. We were comfortable and definitely felt right at home. Welcome treats were provided which was a wonderful gesture and the man who met us and showed us around was very friendly and helpful. We also met the cleaner half way through our stay and she was also very lovely and informative in terms of recommendations etc. Katerina was there for us from start to finish, informing us about things like the operation of equipment in the house or ferry services. All in all we had a wonderful stay, we wish it could have been longer. We would definitely return again.

Matina and Kosta’s place was even more beautiful than the photos would indicate! The views are some of the best I’ve ever seen, and the location is so peaceful and feels really safe. The villa itself is great with lots of light opportunities and balconies, and the pool was really great - felt very big and again had great views. The only challenge is getting to the villa: against Matinas advice we decided not to get a hire car as we were only there for a couple of days, however taxis were really expensive because the road to the villa is mountainous and isolated. However the taxi driver that Matina put us in contact with was really available which was helpful. Therefore if you are staying longer than a couple of days a hire car is a must, and just be aware the road is quite challenging and steep. Overall though we had a wonderful time and would love to come again to enjoy these beautiful views!

This place is as lovely as it looks in the photos! Breathtaking views, lots of space and great for a family or friends who want a place to hang out together and view beautiful Skopelos! As noted by other reviews, the only downside is getting to this location - not for the faint of heart! Very narrow, winding road on a cliff side with no barrier for most of the journey. It’s ok if you are traveling during daylight and in good weather; I would not drive this at night or in rainy conditions. But once you arrive, this house is worth the journey! The hosts are also really helpful and responsive, providing us with connections to get a rental car and great restaurant recommendations!
