Cottage vacation rentals in Central California

This Airbnb was perfect for visiting Yosemite National Park! We had space for our dogs to walk right outside the place + it was toddler friendly. The glass dishes were up high out of his reach. :) The spot was clean + included a washer + dryer & hot tub. Great stay!

Quinn’s wine lodge was perfect, such a peaceful and relaxing place! Quinn was also incredibly warm and responsive and his guidebook and recommendations were excellent.

Cara’s place is a gem and we’re glad we found it. The perfect getaway from the busy Bay Area. Certainly, the creek just beneath really is the unique part of the whole experience. Of course we loved the hot tub and all other amenities too!

Really nice host. Really great stay. The only two things I would advise are to remember to bring mosquito repellent and understand that this is a guest suite on their property.

We had a wonderful stay on our way up to Sequoia and King’s Canyon, and only wish we had longer to enjoy the beautiful creek, soak in the hot tub, and try the delicious sounding breakfast nearby. Still it was a peaceful spot to unwind after a long drive and prepare for our outdoor weekend, and we loved the care and details throughout. The cottage had everything we needed and more. It was just my boyfriend, pup, and me this time, but we could book with friends in the future.

My tiny family (3 of us in total) had a lovely time at the “cute green cabin!” We spent a day in Yosemite and another day exploring Bass lake (Forks resort burger is a must!) Every night we enjoyed some time in the hot tub and we couldn’t get over how quiet the neighborhood was! We will be recommending this gem to all our friends!!

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Griffin's in a location so close to Yosemite yet private and serene without any tourist vibe. It was the best place to unwind together each evening and start the day (with coffee on the deck) each morning. Griffin's house is spacious, inviting, and fully equipped. we cooked meals for four each night. The kitchen has everything you need. the bedrooms are huge with plenty of storage, comfortable beds and linens, and plenty of towels. we were grateful to have a full size w-d for laundry and were pleasantly surprised by the. hot tub (a treat!) and ping pong table (evening fun!). Don't miss out on this perfect opportunity to stay in the mountains, close to a grocery store, with a real feeling of home Griffin had everything covered so all we had to do was unpack and unwind!

My husband and I stayed there for our daughter’s wedding in Felton. What an amazing place to come back to after a very long day (amazing celebration!) and relax in the backyard amongst the redwoods. Super peaceful. The kitchen has everything, and I mean everything you need. Be aware there are 2 steps into the bedroom which we had to remind ourselves so we didn’t trip. All was really clean and welcoming. We would stay here again!

This place was fantastic! Located on a quiet hillside, it offers a peaceful and relaxing environment. It’s about a 1-hour drive to Yosemite and only 20 minutes to downtown, which was convenient. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you could need. The bathroom was also large and very comfortable. Overall, a great stay — highly recommended!

This cottage is a little gem in a desirable part of the city. The upstairs sleeping loft is spacious and well laid out with plenty of closet and drawer space. We loved the thoughtful touches like high-quality coffee, a bottle of wine, extra sheets and towels, and attractive decor and books. Host Johnny was very responsive to our questions about the heating unit and fixed it right away. Not a problem for the physically agile, but guests should be aware that the outdoor side entrance is maybe 24 inches wide, and that the steep loft stairs are necessary to navigate to use the bathroom. Overall, a wonderful stay with a kind and thoughtful host!

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon! It was our first stop in California and it was absolutely worth it! The accommodations were beautiful, the kitchen made it easy for us to eat meals together at home, and furniture was clean and very comfortable! We would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely place, quiet, very clean and cozy and with a comfy bed and great view of the hillside. Everything was just as described and Patricia was very helpful and lovely. We also appreciated being able to bring our dog too. The place is close to Carmel Valley Village and not far from it there’s a wonderful walking area next to Carmel river .

Fish Creek Cottage was lovely! I loved sitting down by the creek and enjoying the day. It’s just a short walk to Murphys Main Street and the weather was perfect. Comfy bed, had everything I needed and was overall a relaxing stay. The cottage is a little hard to see in the dark so I would suggest arriving the sun goes down. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My family enjoyed this location more than any other AirBnB we have been to. A real treat in the midst of nature. Very peaceful, comfortable. We hope to be back someday.

The unit was clean, cozy, and right in the heart of incredible nature! The creek is incredible for bird and animal watching, and Colin is a communicative and thorough host. Couldn't recommend more highly!

The cottage was very nice, with great views, tall ceilings, huge sliding glass doors, and perfectly set up for two couples. It was extremely clean! We had a great stay!

We stayed one night while doing a two day Yosemite trip. The cottage was exactly as described and beds were super comfy for a nice sleep after an exhausting day. Parking was easy out front and the area was very safe / quiet. Walkable to restaurants and cafes in Mariposa!

We loved staying here on our bike ride from Canada to Mexico. It’s in a beautiful location, peaceful with frogs chirruping and hummingbirds flitting about. Victoria was responsive and helpful. The bed was super comfy and the sofa bed/futon was fine once we put an extra duvet under the sheet. The single-ring plug-in stove top and mini oven were very efficient for cooking, no problem making meals. Thanks Victoria!

The cottage is located in a private, peaceful area with lots of birds flying around and a fantastic view. Kitchen amenities, particularly sharp knives, and ample cookware were available. We found a wok in the cabinet where one of our friends could practice his wok tossing skills. Beds were firm and very comfortable. Grocery store, Pioneer Market, is a short drive away. It was a very enjoyable visit.

We had a great stay! We especially loved sitting out back watching the wildlife!

My wife, one-year-old, and I had a fantastic stay here during our Portland to San Francisco road trip! We spent several days exploring Sonoma, Napa, Santa Rosa/Petaluma, and Bodega Bay—all an easy drive from the Airbnb. The home was just as described: clean, comfortable, and in a perfect location. The host was proactive and helpful, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've had in an Airbnb. Our little one loved visiting the chickens each morning and night, and we enjoyed winding down with some bocce ball. Highly recommend!!
