Shipping container vacation rentals in Central America

I'm not a hostel person :), but needed to stay overnight for my next day flight. The host was very welcoming and helpful, they have a nice group chat idea for communication within hostel guests. The area is also as described, a lot of nice seating places, chilling spots. It was quiet and clean. Very close to the main road to get a ride. I can't speak about the room I booked, as I got an upgrade due to some maintenance issues and the one I got was with kitchen and seating area and was very nice. The place is not new, but is well maintained. I got a driver from the hotel, which was much better price then the taxis overall on the island and everything went smooth. Only thing is the position, even with recommendations from the host I could not find a decent place to eat. I walked down the beach, which is close, but did not want to wander too far and have found only a local kitchen with no options. I stayed before in Gibson Bight, so this place seemed a bit far from everything to me.

I really enjoyed my stay at Isaiah and Tatiana's place, it felt like home! The kitchen is well equiped. Just a 10 mins walk to the beach with a handful of restaurants along the way, a mini super for basic needs and a wonderful fruit stand nearby, their place is well located ans safe. I felt at ease leaving my motorcycle in their locked yard. The shared outside space was really comfortable and relaxing, I spent many mornings in the hamac reading or watching howler monkeys. Tatiana is a wonderful host and was very fast to reply to my messages. I would definitely stay here again!

Carlos was amazing, got us checked in quickly and was there for anything we needed! He definitely made our stay!! The rooms have an amazing view and are a good size and very comfortable. Our only issue while staying was the wifi but I believe that was a one off issue. The walk to town is about 10/15 mins but very steep hills on the way up, however Carlos often offers to pop to town for food, drinks, takeaways or whatever you need. We were really happy with our stay!! thank you

A BEAUTIFUL oasis and amazing deal. We felt so welcomed by the staff working there, especially Amanda. The grounds were stunning with plans through, the pool was a treat! Breakfast was made fresh and delicious. We loved our private shower outside the room. The yoga studio was stunning and such a great class. Short walk to the beach and local restaurants. We'll be back!

Tuvimos una experiencia inolvidable en la hermosa propiedad de Fede. Fue un viaje familiar con varios niños, quienes disfrutaron cada rincón al máximo. Como madre, me sentí completamente tranquila gracias a la seguridad del lugar, que se siente en cada detalle. La cercanía al mar es un regalo: el sonido de las olas nos acompañó como un canto de cuna natural durante toda la estadía. Uno de los tesoros del lugar es un majestuoso árbol de Guanacaste, símbolo nacional de Costa Rica. Su sombra es un refugio delicioso, un verdadero pulmón que renueva el aire y nos invita a detenernos, respirar y conectar. Fue nuestro espacio favorito para descansar y compartir. Fede estuvo siempre atento, con una presencia amable y respetuosa que nos hizo sentir como en casa. Sin duda, un lugar al que deseamos regresar. ¡Gracias infinitas!

We had a wonderful stay at Puka Retreat. The space was furnished very thoughtfully with all the needed amenities. The semi-outdoor kitchen was an especially nice touch that made us feel right at home. The managers, Belinda and Rolando were always responsive and very helpful. The stay is near the beautiful Playa Avellanas beach, which is so lovely to visit especially in the mornings.

Beautiful place very close to the beach! Host gave clear instructions for check-in. For a moment the water went out but the co-host quickly solved the problem.

This was a nice getaway to rest from the activities of the day. Koni was very sweet and welcoming. Had a really good time!

Great spot for a central location with easy access by driving to playa avellanas and playa negra. short walk to beach, just across the street. kitchen is nice, pool fun for kids. AC and wifi worked great. Great value. would stay again.

We stayed at Carlos’ place for 10 nights and it had everything we needed. It was important to us to be able to cook our own meals and we had everything we needed to do that. It was a close to drive to everything and only took 10 minutes or so to get anywhere, location was perfect for us. The drive was easy and the place was easily accessible by car. The neighbours are very close, although we never saw them, we could hear them- but it wasn’t bothersome at all. Felt very safe and comfortable. If your looking for something that’s close to everything, is simple, safe and affordable- this is it! Also, Carlos was really great to communicate with. We didn’t have any issues, but had questions about places to go and things to see and he gave us SO much information that might have otherwise been hard to find on our own!

This was a great stay for two. Needs to note that you have to say a full week for cleaning services but still accommodate us very well will definitely be back

Sí estas buscando privacidad, un clima súper fresco, naturaleza y aire puro. Te full recomiendo Cerro Azul Las Vistas la misma cumple todos estos requisitos y mucho más aprovecha de este lugar al máximo vale la pena total🍃.

The location is walking distance to the grocery store, city center and beach. The neighborhood is safe and away from the crowd. Parking space is available. We enjoyed the bbq for prepping meals. The pool is fabulous. Tip #1: Go have lunch at Chaki Café, the girls are incredibly friendly and the food is fresh and amazing. Tip #2: For grocery shopping go to Super China Samara. Tip #3: Gusto Beach, you get a chair and an umbrella if you spend a minimum of $20. It’s well worth it. Try the ginger limonade.

Place is nice, cozy and as described. It's located in a beautiful property surrounded by nature. It's peaceful and the best part is the beach just steps away. We experienced some unplanned inconveniences out of our control but the host did his best to help us with everything.

Great private container home about 5 mins from Potrero beach.

Yahayra y su familia fueron muy amables al recibirnos, y se preocuparon por un adulto mayor con el que fuimos para que tuviera todas las comodidades. El lugar cuenta con muchas áreas sociales y por las noches se aprecia una linda vista, muy recomendado.

Wir hatten ein paar tolle Tage im Bungalow 1. Alles war sehr sauber, zudem sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Die Terrasse mit der Außenküche war ein Traum, die Matratzen super bequem. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl! Fußläufig befand sich ein Obst- und Gemüsestand, wo man sehr günstig frisch einkaufen konnte, was sehr praktisch war. Auch die Kommunikation verlief reibungslos. Nachdem wir nach der ersten Nacht geäußert hatten, dass uns die Kissen leider viel zu dick waren, wurden uns umgehend dünnere Kissen gebracht, was wirklich sehr aufmerksam war.

A very peaceful place, surrounded by nature—super clean and organized, with all the necessary utensils, just right to feel at home. The location is key, as it’s close to many of the best beaches and just 5 minutes from Manzanillo. Totally recommended!

Primero me gustaría mencionar que Juan Pablo y Uri fueron geniales de inicio a fin, hubo un pequeño percance al inicio de la estadía pero lo resolvieron sumamente rápido, con excelente actitud y nos retribuyeron con creces el pequeño inconveniente. Estamos especialmente agradecidos con Uri por su rápida y excelente atención. Les deseamos el mejor de los éxitos para el 2025 en el cual seguramente regresaremos! Les recomiendo muchísimo hospedarse acá!

Gracias a todas las veces que me he hospedado en este apartamento Los Destiladeros, me he decidido a retirarme en esta zona porque, no solo es sumamente hermosa sino también muy tranquila y segura. Poder apreciar cómo cambia el paisaje de la temporada dorada (seca) a la temporada verde (lluviosa) es muy emocionante. Los anfitriones, Chelín y Dany, siempre hacen que la estancia sea muy acogedora y especial. No dejo de pensar que cada vez que vengo aquí me siento en casa. Definitivamente son una fuente de inspiración tanto por como viven, por su casa y su alojamiento temporal.
