Amazing handcrafted cabin located in the center of the "Roanoke Triple Crown" (McAfee's Knob, tinker cliffs and dragons tooth trails) just minutes from each trail head. Cabin is tucked away from everything. No other houses can be seen from the cabin. The cabin overlooks a beautiful pond with a small waterfall cascading in. Cabin was sustainability built with trees from the 20 acres it sits on. McAfee's Knob trailhead is 10 minutes away, Andy Layne trailhead to tinker cliffs is 9 minutes away.

Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. The original log cabin was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). These cabins were built after the Blue Ridge Parkway was laid in 1935, which is just down the street. With love and attention our cabin's renovations were complete in 2017. We kept the original log walls to add a rustic feel to the contemporary, crisp clean decor. The cottage overlooks the babbling waters of Back Creek but is just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, private yet convenient.

Their home was amazing, it was clean, exquisitely put together and very proactive approach from the owners as far as my stay during my business trip. they went outside their way to make sure I felt comfortable and hospitable during my stay. I would definitely recommend them in the future and definitely on my trips back to Salem.

The location is perfect — close to all the great local spots but still peaceful and quiet. The house is always spotless and well-stocked with everything we need, from kitchen essentials to cozy linens. It’s clear that Angela puts a lot of thought into making the space comfortable and welcoming. We love the charm of the home, the beautiful decor, and the spacious layout that makes it feel like a true getaway every time. Whether we’re just relaxing or exploring the area, it always feels like a home away from home. Angela is incredibly responsive and makes sure every stay is seamless. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Roanoke — we’ll definitely be back!

Greenway Getaway was a perfect spot for us to stay! It was lovely, clean, well-appointed and our lovely host had thought of everything we might need. We loved the sound machines, the fresh coffee, the creamers, and the cozy furnishings. I would highly recommend this spot and would choose to stay here again if I am in the area!

We had an amazing stay at Dave’s place for my VT graduation. The house is stunning, with every detail thoughtfully considered during the renovation. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I’m now inspired to buy the same couch for my own home. The location is perfect—just a 13-minute drive to downtown Roanoke and 35 minutes to VT. Plus, there's a grocery store nearby for any essentials. Dave was excellent with communication, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved the fire pit and were delighted by the deer visitors. Highly recommend!!!
