Silvia's place was awesome. Right in the heart of San Jose, with lots of things to do and places to eat nearby. The complimentary breakfast was also phenomenal.

Hotel Santo Tomas San Jose, C.R. Two Queen Beds

For me, I was grateful; the other Airbnb I had reserved ended up having the wrong location published, so I had to book this last minute, around 8pm. I was just there for a night, but the place had a cool, very old Victorian house-style vibe. Creaky old wood floors and really tall ceilings. My room was crazy large, but it was also a handicapped room, which should be plenty large. PARKING: So they do have their own parking lot attached to the hotel, but if you arrive at night, it is locked down. So you have to go to the front desk and they have a clicker to open it. So if you park at the hotel entrance, which is on a one-way street and not really a pull-over spot but not busy so if it's late a quick stop is probably fine (cars can get around you), the garage is at least 4 car lengths before the hotel, so be smarter than me so you don't have to go around or reverse down a one-way to get in the garage. Props to the front desk agent, responsive and friendly!!
A bright sleeping area is featured, showcasing a spacious bed with light linens and decorative cushions in shades of blue. An abstract painting hangs above the headboard, while a floor lamp provides additional lighting. A doorway leads to a private bathroom.

Karim was quick to respond to my last minute, late evening, request. He met me at the location and the check-in was a breeze. Karim was very friendly and his Airbnb was perfect for what I needed. Great location, close to many restaurants, very safe and walkable. Definitely will book again when in the area.

Hotel Santo Tomás was lovely. A little boutique hotel oasis in the heart of San Jose and so close to all the things to do. Finding it was a bit tough but it was very dark and we were very jet lagged. In the daytime it would've been no problem at all. They have secure parking facilities, very friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and the attention to detail of the hotel itself was spectacular. So many places to sit and just relax in the beautiful weather. Thomas sat and chatted with us and other guests over breakfast and had all sorts of recommendations, tips, maps, places to go and things to do. He is an absolute gem and can guide you in all things Costa Rica.
A well-lit bedroom features a comfortable bed draped with a red blanket. Large arched windows bring natural light into the space, complemented by a wall-mounted television and a wooden bedside table. Light-colored curtains frame the windows, enhancing the room's inviting atmosphere.
