Stunning property, perfect location for the Forest and Mull of Galloway. We are regular visitors to the area. Catherine’s place has just gone straight to the top of places I will book if it’s free.

Cruggleton Lodge, Galloway House Estate

ChrisRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our 1st time at Cruggleton Lodge - though we have stayed at the relatively adjacent High Lodge several times. As at HL before, we had an idyllic week - which the facilities at CL provided an excellent foundation for. CL is secluded, set in the edge of woodlands, with breath-taking views out to sea. The walk through the woods down to Garlieston starts literally outside the door. Woods containing deer, hares and a wide variety of bird species. Have already booked again!

Laura’s house was spotless. In a beautiful location overlooking the bay and close to Galloway House gardens which are well worth a visit. Garlieston is a lovely village with a local pub that serves good food and there is an excellent cafe called the Hive. Would highly recommend this house.

Little Rock | Seaside Cottage

What an amazing experience. Communication was fast, accurate and informative. The space was equipped to a very high standard with all you could ever need. The beds were amazing, comfortable with crisp white bedsing. 2 bathrooms were well designed. The garden is gorgeous and the local area has, possibly, some of the best views ive ever seen. Woke up refreshed to birdsong every morning. The welcome pack was generous and appreciated We'll be back!

Traditional cottage in the heart of Galloway

Enjoyed a lovely stay at Woodpecker Cottage, cosy home from home! Perfect space for a family and perfect location to explore the surrounding areas. We made good use of the games room, with a family pool tournament every night, which I lost, every night😆 Our two boys spent a lot of time in there playing pool, table tennis, and darts. Unfortunately no clear skies at night to try out the telescope! Mary is a kind and friendly host who gave us plenty info about the cottage and also recommendations about places in Bladnoch and Wigtown. Highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book again 😊
