High Auchenlarie Cottage, Scotland

Excellent weekend stay here with friends for a wedding in Gatehouse of Fleet. The cottage was equipped with everything you can need, and the views, wow. They are incredible. For 6 adults, it was spacious. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and space to eat and socialise. We loved our stay.

Blackloch House, Gatehouse of Fleet

BerniceRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Blackloch is a very pleasant, peaceful and comfortable house. It’s in a great location, close to the village but set on a quiet lane amongst fields. The wildlife is wonderful and we really loved watching the swallows endlessly swooping to catch insects for their young in the barns. The rabbits visited the garden daily and we also had a hare come by. Overhead kites, goldfinches, blackbirds, sparrows and other birds were delightful. There is so much to visit in the area but must sees are Kircubright town and Mossyard beach.

Airds Bay Luxury Beach House

PaulRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Our experience at this property in Scotland was wonderful from start to finish. The booking process was straightforward, and our reservation was confirmed almost immediately, making everything effortless. Arriving at the property, however, turned into quite an adventure. We arrived in the evening amid heavy rain, with visibility low, and had to navigate a few remaining potholes along the way (though most had been filled in). Thankfully, we managed to find the key safe, unload our luggage, and settle in for the night. The next morning was a completely different scene. We woke up to clear skies and stunning views across the bay from both the bedroom and the lounge—it was breathtaking. Our first instinct was to get dressed and head straight to the beach for a morning walk, which was the perfect way to start the day. Inside, the house is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, with attention to detail everywhere. Premium shower gels were stocked in the bathrooms—a thoughtful touch

Gatehouse Luxury Lodge - Seascape

JohnRating, 5 stars7 months ago
A modern, clean lodge with underfloor heating, good WiFi and beautiful views over the valley towards the sea from the living area. The lodge also has an easy to use 7kWh EV charger which is handy for visitors with full EVs or PHEVs - but you do need your own Type 2 cable: cost is 25p per kWh. A very good location for touring this area and there are good walks right from the lodge itslef. We did a circular walk to the coast at Sandgreen through the Cally Woods and back - approx. 10 miles and hardly met a soul. The NTS Thrieve Estate walk is also worth your while.

Alma Cottage, Borgue

Loved our short stay at Jason's cottage, which was perfect for our needs - cozy, nicely decorated and comfortable. Kirkcudbright, named "The Artists' Town" is well worth a visit, and is not far away. We were blessed with great weather, and took advantage of this with visits to nearby beaches. Jason was in regular contact to ensure that all was well with our visit, and this was really appreciated. Great place, great host.
