Our accommodation is 7 km from Bayeux at 12 rue de Creully in Martragny 14740. (Tapestry, Battle of Normandy Museum, English Cemetery,...), 15 km from Caen (Memorial, Castle,...) and 15 km from the landing beaches (from Arromanches les bains, German batteries of Longues sur mer, Omaha Beach and Utah Beach, Colleville sur mer,) Appreciate the tranquility of its surrounding countryside. Kitchen area, fridge, glass plates, tassimo coffee maker and filter, kettle, microwave.

The Clos du Marronnier studio

Le Clos du Marronnier is a small typical Bessin farmhouse, located at the entrance to the village of Coulombs. We work there with our horses (equestrian education and equicoaching) and do permaculture. On the first floor of one of the houses is an independent, newly renovated studio. Note that it overlooks the street, has an atypical entrance (low door to preserve an engraved lintel from the dawn of the landings) and a miller's staircase (steep) to access the sleeping area.

We had a pleasant stay here as a base to explore the D-Day beaches and museums as well as Bayeux itself. Marie is a is a friendly and responsive host, knowledgeable about the direct and wider area and museums and attending well to our needs. The house is fully equipped and and a good place to relax. Also relaxing to sit outside, either in front of the house or in the back yard.

Listing matches listing photos. Very well located between Bayeux and Caen, it makes it easy to visit the 2 cities and the surrounding area. Béatrice's place is very nice for a few nights. Small touches are present in the accommodation (towels, shower gel/ shampoo, caramels,...) to make the stay even more enjoyable.

Absolutely lovely home with stone walls and veranda that is full of light . Beds were comfortable with clean white linens. The yard and garden and playset were perfect for us and our children. The access to the campground pool, store, tennis court , castle and restaurant was awesome!

We have stayed in many Airbnbs over the years and this was the best ever. From the warmth of the welcome, the beautiful house and amazing gardens, the history, the graciousness of the building and the generosity of our hosts. It was impeccable. If you are visiting the Normandy beaches I can’t recommend this Airbnb enough. A truly special place that will stay with you for weeks afterwards.
