Amazing historic 1800s Carriage House!

This little historic home was built just before the turn of the century and was one of the early homes in Raton. If you have a larger group please consider booking the Casita and/ or the Second story as well! They sit right next door and are equally cool spots! Thoughtfully updated to maintain its historic charm and add modern amenities. We've added fiber-optic wifi, mini split heat, and air, recessed LED lighting, a 5-burner gas range with oven, flat screen smart TV, and lots of original art!

You will have the entire house to yourself. It is recently renovated and beautifully decorated with everything you need. Well behaved, house trained dogs are welcome! The inside of the home is non-smoking but you are welcome to smoke outside.

A lot of positives to be said for this property. Home was immaculate in cleanliness yet homey and comfortable. NO cleaning of cookware required prior to using and the quality was fantastic, truly appreciated what was available; not one piece of the old and should have been tossed years ago. Communication was smooth and timely. Directions precise and no hassles gaining entry. Beautiful and peaceful on patio with morning coffee and listening to the river. We have been coming to the area for 15+ years and this was voted our favorite place to stay out of the many we have rented.

I think we have stayed in every Airbnb. In Trinidad, Colorado. Visiting grandma ROBINSON over the last couple years and this was the cutest and cleanest.. Beautiful views of the mountains. And a short distance from all the restaurants Beautiful views of the mountains. We will be back thank you 5 star host..

The A frame was fantastic. As other reviewers said, it’s a bit of an uphill walk. If you let the hosts know when you arrive, they show up with a 4 Wheeler to get your gear up. We were able to lug up our stuff with a wagon - I had a full sized cooler and they was a challenge with the terrain. Other than that, it was amazing. Super quiet. Nice views. Incredibly clean space with all the grill tools and flatware you need. The fireplace and nice chairs were perfect for evening time. Quick 15 min drive to lake Trinidad for kayaking. Would definitely stay here again, and plan on doing so!
