Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Capital Regional District

The stay was exactly what was shown in the photos/description. Alison was quick to respond when we needed anything and always accommodated any requests that we made, like an early check in. Would book with her again for my next stay!

My stay with my husband n baby was cozy, a bit snug, but accommodating for just the 3 of us for a 1 night stay. Host was very responsive. Bed was nice and comfy!

Spotlessly clean with lots of facilities that all looked quite new and worked well. It was great (and quick!) to be able to do clothes washing and drying after 2 weeks on the road. I had to change my booking dates twice but both times the host were happy to oblige. Easy to walk down to the lake shore and a 5 minute drive to the supermarket

Mary Lou is an amazing host who has thought of every little detail and has a beautiful house that looks exactly like the pictures. I can thoroughly recommend Sooke and Mary Lou’s house.

This was a perfect location for escaping from the chaos of downtown after singing a Brahms rehearsal and concert and experiencing gardens and museums and bustle of Victoria. Jill was an amazing host - responsive, good suggestions, wonderful place. We shopped at Market at Millstream (good deli items) and cooked there both nights and saved a lot on tips and overpriced dinners.

Amazing place to stay overlooking Salish Sea. Spent hours looking for seals and whales in the sea. Inside is modern, clean and had everything we needed! Host was incredibly responsive and helped out with all our requests. Thanks Christine!

We had a wonderful stay at Jeena’s house! The moment we walked in, it felt warm, welcoming, and just like home. The place was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need — from fridge items to bathroom and bedding essentials. Jeena was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay, always available if we needed anything. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the care she puts into hosting. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Victoria or Langford!

Excellent stay here! Private everything, no shared spaces except driveway. *note: Driveway is Not flat, it's quite slanted/FYI. Kitchen is GREAT if you like cooking, LOVED gas range/gas oven, only missing a Glass dish for oven/chicken/baking. Plenty of utensils, didn't really cook a ton so can't think of anything 'missing' TERRIFIC laundry on-site, just didn't see it at first, it's behind the closet door in the foyer. Shower/bathroom is Great! Has "rain" shower heads over your head, Handy soap/shampoo/conditioner etc on a corner rack so if you forget to bring, no worries ! Counter space is good. Lighting is good. This space was built into the rear space behind garage and butts up to a rock wall at the bedroom/bathroom. Daylight comes through but the only outdoor view is living room/patio. Patio has table and 4 chairs. Only negative would be the dull thud pitter patter of a 3 yr old running around ;-) very understandable, but mostly between 3pm/4pm and 7pm-ish. Overall, a terrific stay!

Stephanie’s suite is extremely well appointed, tidy and spacious. Close to the Oak Bay food strip for some great eateries - ours was at Vis-a-Vis.

Had the most relaxing and peaceful stay at Tanya’s, it felt like a retreat. The garden was beautifully manicured with plants and flowers. It was lovely having morning coffee on the deck overlooking the valley. It’s even more beautiful than the photos. I saw a few deer and bunnies on the property. Bed was cozy and sheets were soft. It had everything you’d need for a great stay. Will definitely come back to stay again in the future. Thank you Tanya!

Well from start to finish this was 5 star accommodation! Exactly as shown except better. This was a true bucket list for initially our parents and then for us as well. Don’t think twice book it!

Third time here now. A private oasis in Duncan. Close to downtown but far enough to feel away from the bustle. Next time in Duncan hopefully it will be available again! Great spot! Thank you Jane! Bryan and Gail

Great location that was very peaceful that overlooked the bay. Rooms had comfortable beds that were well maintained. We will be back.

What a wonderful place to stay! We come to Port Renfrew several times a year to get away and this has been the nicest place yet. Wonderful views for coffee in the morning and a peaceful place to escape the city. Will for sure be returning! Harley is proactive and descriptive in the instructions to get there and get in, so we felt right at home arriving and getting ourselves settled.

We enjoyed the apartment, it had everything you need for the kitchen. The location is very convenient for downtown Victoria. You can literally walk to every attraction, including the Empress Hotel, Parliament Buildings, Museum of Natural History, and restaurants all around the harbour.

Port Renfrew is a great place to take the family. Halibut Hideaway was just as described, clean and well kept. All the amenities we needed were provided and in good shape. One rule about talking garbage to the dump wasn’t known prior to arriving and we found out the local dump where we were instructed to put the garbage was only open until 2pm the prior day. Either do all your cleaning really early or you’ll have to pack a bunch of smelly garbage into your car to comply like we did.

We had a great stay at Fatbardh’s place. It was comfortable and clean and an enjoyable 3 nights. I love the safety and security of the home. It’s close to my favourite sushi restaurant ever. The shoppers drug mart is nearby, too. You will love your stay here!

Stayed for a week in May 2025. Great location, walking distance to inner harbour, miniature world, Chinatown, and great restaurants close by. Perfect for two couples. Outdoor bar across the street gave us some good people watching from the balcony. Used the hot tub and the condo robes were appreciated! Coffee, tea and some kitchen spices were helpful. Condo safety and parking were excellent.

Nice property with good sun exposure in morning and midday. Location and gym facilities excellent. The condo faces the rest of the building so you might feel a little exposed,but there are blinds and curtains, so not an issue. Annie was a responsive host.

Kirstin was a great host. They had great communication, everything was clean and exactly as described. They even provided a high chair and pack and play which was extremely helpful when travelling a little one. The home was spacious and within walking distance to many great spots. It was the perfect place for my families weekend getaway to Ladysmith. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. Thanks for a great stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Conveniently located and overlooking the water, the apartment was very well appointed, clean and very cozy. On a cold evening, we enjoyed warming our feet by the outside fireplace. We’d recommend this place to anyone wanting to spend some time in Port Renfrew.

We enjoyed our stay here. We were looking for something quiet and comfortable and this certainly met our expectations. It’s is secluded but only about 10-15min drove from Duncan. My only recommendation would be to keep some cards/board games for guest to use as there is not much in the immediate area for activities. Side note: visited “Just Jake’s” restaurant while we were in Duncan and it was really good pub fare. Recommend adding it to your itinerary!

We had a fabulous mother/daughter trip to this lovely space. The beds and bedding were exceptional and we slept beautifully each night. We had everything we needed in this condo and we could walk all over Victoria easily. The host was the very best I have ever worked with- responsive, helpful, full of great information and warm. Honestly I felt so supported and in good hands in this space. This was a five star experience for our family and we will definitely come back. Cheers!
