I spent a glorious month at Maria Celeste’s home. It was simply the best place to reset, connect with nature & rest. I’ve never been to a more peaceful home. Freshly squeezed orange juice (from trees) every morning. Lemons for water. A natural spring to swim off hiking grime. Mountains to climb surrounding the entire home. Lizard & butterfly friends. And so so quiet. Maria Celeste picked me up & drove me to the location. Taxi services available to go to town when needed. I can not recommend staying at this home more. If you need some R’n’R, stay. You won’t regret it.

What an incredible place! This would have to be one of the best Airbnb I have stay at! It was absolutely stunning and had everything we needed. Daniela was the most incredible host. Not only did she give us incredible suggestions, she helped book a few things for us. She went out of her way constantly to make sure we were able to enjoy the area. She made our experience in the Duo Valley incredible and very memorable.

This is an extremely comfortable place to stay in a beautiful part of Portugal. The Douro Brothers are great hosts. Everything was in order and all we had a very nice time. Muito Obrigado!

We've had an amazing 4 days here. It's just a perfect location and we felt at home here. The pool, the view, the garden with grill - everything was just perfect. The only 'negative' things, if you can call them negative, is that the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedrooms, and that the parking is a bit tight for a large car. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a private getaway in a beautiful location.

It felt like home when we returned after 6 six years. The place of Laurence & Jorge is in line with the pictures and the view is amazing. The house has everything you need, we really loved the mattresses and the pillows. The house is surrounded by a large garden, and we liked the privacy and the fruit trees in the garden. Getting into the house is easy and communication is perfect. We will definitely return again! We recommend to do some groceries before you arrive, the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away. De facto não me surpreendeu pelos comentários que já tinha lido. Casa extremamente cheirosa, acolhedora com imensos jogos para se entreter mesmo em dias chuvosos como tivemos. Pequenos pormenores que nos cativaram cada dia passado, sem falar da vista para o Douro que não me cansava de admirar. Obrigada

Reservei o espaço para uma despedida de solteiro. Posso afirmar que todas as 11 pessoas ficaram extremamente contentes com a casa, disponibilidade do sr. Marcos e restante equipa, limpeza, comodidades e principalmente a localização da casa. Era exatamente o que procurávamos, para o tipo de férias que queríamos fazer. Fomos sempre muito bem aconselhados, informados, bem recebidos, não nos faltou nada. Uma terra linda, com atividades e locais de visita obrigatórios. Uma boa relação preço-qualidade para quem procura um bonito refúgio da vida de cidade. Muito obrigado. Voltaremos.

We had such a lovely stay here! The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful and the stay is even better than the photos. We played tennis, minigolf, jeu de boules and more. We also had a swim in the nice pool. The highlight is the terrace with the amazing view, the outdoor kitchen and the sweetest dogs. I can highly recommend this place, we will come back for sure!

We had an absolutely incredible stay! The house is even better than the pictures, and our host could not have been more wonderful, flexible, accommodating and welcoming. A few highlights that aren’t immediately obvious: fresh bread delivery every morning, kitchen is wonderful and very easy to cook in, charcoal grill outside is fantastic - and lovely for grilling fresh fish in! (ask if fish is available from the local fish monger!). You can also easily do a day trip into Porto from this hidden paradise. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ricardo and his father Mario, or this amazing villa!

Staying at Quinta dos Moinhos was truly a dream come true for us. Not only was it the perfect setting for our wedding, but the property and the views were simply unforgettable. The home is absolutely stunning and one of a kind, nestled in a peaceful and picturesque location, with breathtaking views and a rich family history. Every detail of the home is filled with character, and you can feel the care and pride that has gone into preserving the home and the surrounding nature. Diogo was an exceptional host - warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. He even hopped on a Facetime call so we could see the property firsthand and feel more confident about our decision! Diogo is just a genuinely kind person, and from the moment we arrived he made us feel completely at ease. His hospitality and kindness were especially meaningful during such a special time in our lives. We couldn’t ask for a more special place to celebrate, and we are already looking forward to the day we can return!

geweldige locatie en een mooi huis, nog mooier dan op de foto's. alles was erg schoon en ze waren erg vriendelijk. Bij ontvangst stond een heerlijk hapje klaar, super lief. Onze dochter van 4 was niet weg te slaan uit het zwembad, ze vind het geweldig. En wat een uitzicht, dat is pas wakker worden. We komen zeker nog eens terug mochten we weer in de buurt zijn. bedankt

We had a great and peaceful time at Joao's beautiful stone house up in hills. The deck is absolutely gorgeous to hang out with friends and family. We loved the quietness of place. There are no nearby restaurants so make sure to plan the trip accordingly, otherwise it's awesome place to relax unwind and chill.

Recomendo este estabelecimento sem qualquer reserva, à vista de Vila Real e fenomenal. O local é muito confortável com todas as comodidades necessárias para um fim de semana confortável. Os donos são totalmente dedicados a qualidade e serviço. Sentar a noite a beber um copo de vinho há luz de Vila Real foi totalmente memorável. Muito obrigado pela hospitalidade.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having two bathrooms. The patio was nice to enjoy too with great views all around. We had a car with us and we're able to park it across the street in an off street parking space. Julio was kind to give us a quick talk about the region and a taste of his delicious port wine.

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. The chalet was beautifully set up with all necessary items - plus welcoming bonuses, including homemade breads and butter, complementing the breakfast items. We met Luisa on arrival (we were early - which was not a problem for her) and were introduced to the unit - and then shared a thoroughly enjoyable longer chat about our families, lives, and so on; later we met Mario. Our unit was one of two in the chalet, both with private entrances, but usefully with an interconnecting door should a larger group want to stay. Because there were two units, there was naturally some normal living noise (conversation, moving about etc), as you’d expect in that configuration, but not excessive. A minor issue over parking with the other visitors was sorted out efficiently and effectively, which characterized the professional way this property is managed. But a warning: Apple Maps sent us on what was probably the shortest route once at Alijo, but the ‘road’ became so very narrow, we didn’t fit!
