Cailhau is a small medieval village (220 Inhabitants). It is located on a rock (hence the name caillou and haut). From here you can take beautiful walks (or cycling) with always another surprising view. Nearby are many wine cellars where you can sample delicious wines. Cailhau is also located in the Catharen region, rich in history, with many castles and abbeys to visit. In the village you have a cosy bistro where you can eat and drink. You will find ping pong, petanque, badminton, garden ideal for children, animation evening possible with nonprofit meal on our terrace. the village of Cambieure at the gates of Limoux and very close to Carcassonne ideal departure for visiting the Aude and Ariège. The caves lakes vineyards the canal du midi. Cleaning must be done before departure or take the option at €35. Simple accommodation with low prices and not suitable for pretentious people.

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter months there is a wood stove. The firewood is not included in the rental.
