Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Caerphilly County Borough

We had a fantastic stay at Danny’s house and probably the best-equipped place we’ve ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the whole place had a real home-from-home feel. We would not hesitate to come back or recommend to others.

The photos do not do the Drydock Cottage justice - it is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos and also a lot more spacious. The attention to detail and every element of the design that has gone into the conversion of this building is second to none. The location is also absolutely perfect - so peaceful, tucked away in gorgeous grounds with a view straight out onto the canal and across over the valley to the mountains beyond. I could have sat and watched the world go by, including the families of ducks, all day. The home made goodies were very welcoming and I loved every minute of my stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for people looking to escape to somewhere unique and peaceful.

A lovely stop over for two nights with my four legged friends ... what a lovely place. The balcony was a sun trap and I loved spending the evening watching the sun go down. The house was really comfy and homely with everything you need. Highly recommend.

Tom was a great host from the moment we booked. Communication was easy and he was always on hand to answer any questions we had. The house is just perfect, everything we needed. A very peaceful location, friendly hosts and an adorable dog called Dotty! Spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation, just 10 miles from Hay-on-Wye so the perfect place to stay.

We had a wonderful one-night stay at this lovely cottage. The host was very helpful and welcoming. The place was spotless, with excellent facilities throughout. We especially enjoyed the charming terrace — perfect for a warm evening. The location is ideal, both for exploring the town and for hiking in the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Lyndon’s beautiful cottage for the weekend, which had fantastic access to the ICC Wales, where myself and my friend were competing (ATHX). The perfect spot to relax - we loved the bbq and the added little touches! Thank you!

Comfortable tucked away place to stay in Cardiff within good walking distance to lots of amenities and Cardiff stations, plenty of fresh towels, shampoo and toothbrush/paste available to comfortably accommodate a large group booking and plenty of room in the bedrooms and lounge area for everyone to hang out, there’s also a Tesco Express and Greggs right outside!

Was a perfect distance away from where I was working in the bay, and very close to the gym, the station and the city centre. The flat had everything I needed and was clean and quiet, with nice outside space and a very decent kitchen. The host was available whenever I needed to ask a question. No complaints whatsoever!

This is a unique property within easy reach of Cardiff, but far enough out to feel like you are in the depths of the beautiful Welsh countryside. Lesley is a fabulous host who came up to check everything was ok soon after we arrived. She also presented us with Welsh Cakes, milk and biscuits which kicked off our stay perfectly. I would highly recommend staying here if you want peace and quiet in with your Cardiff and surrounding countryside trip. Perfect.

Stacie was very helpful and left the annexe beautifully clean for us. It was cosy and warm and very peaceful. It was very cheering to receive fresh milk and delicious homemade cake on arrival. We would definitely recommend the annexe. Thanks for a great weekend in beautiful surroundings.

A lovely space to yourself and a beautiful shared garden (plus a duck pond beyond that which was so cute). It's an easy walk to fun sights, local cafes, and a pub right across the street. There's also a beautiful riverside bike into Cardif is only 30/45 minutes. Note: there are some little dogs and ducks around the property who are fun and friendly to share the space with.

The Carriage is in the most perfect location for walking and getting into Brecon. I loved the shower, hot hot water while watching the wildlife. The instruction book in the cabin was really useful, could do with more of that info on the listing. Emma & Stevie provided a lovely setting for an off-grid getaway. Thank you.

Beautiful location, peaceful and relaxing. Overall a great place to stay to get away from it all and just rest and reset. Pods were comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. Perfectly located to do the Pen y Fan Horseshoe walk, 8 min drive away.

The cottage was a lovely place to stay. Just a short walk to a beautiful coastline, and in a lovely area of the Welsh countryside. The hosts Paula and Tom were really helpful and friendly as well. We'd definitely come back.

Me and my girlfriend loved our stay in daisy lodge. Such a lovely place to stay feeling right at home. Not far from Abergavenny town which has a lovely high street. The lodge was as seen in the photos and even though we knew Claire and Justin were there when we needed, it was perfect and didn’t need any help. Highly recommend. Thanks guys!

We only stayed two nights, but it was great. Quiet surroundings, beautiful nature all around and friendly people, that's what we needed. Thank you for the fresh eggs. If anyone is looking for a quiet place to relax, we recommend it. Thanks Marjorie and Tom.

Cwtch (Hug) Woodland Cabin is and awesome place to stay as a base for doing some amazing walks in the area and walking into Brecon for drinks or food takes about 10 minutes. The cabin was outstanding and just as described and as in the photos. Idylic location. Made the most of the outdoor bath to soothe aching muscles after walking the 16k pen y fan walk, as well as the fire pit and bbq, as so nice sitting out there in the evening, and we were blessed with amazing weather. Would highly recommend
